Sherry Leblanc - as a MAGIC CARD! Oh my...

Saturn of Elemia

Howdy, people. Saturn here with yet another MTG card for you. (I know it's a Yu-Gi-Oh forum. Get over it). Anyway, I thought I would turn a YGO character into a planeswalker this time - and I decided to go with Sherry. Hopefully, the abilities of this card match up to her dueling style of the anime. Without further ado, here you go:

Not the CC mod, but seeing as how this IS the any other card section, and MTG card do fall under "other cards" I'm calling this fair.

Anyway, card is cool. However, since the effect cares so much about the hand, not having a way to increase it outside of the ultimate is very.....odd. Also, remember as a hybrid card the effects should make sense in both colors (with a little bleed). As such the destruction effect seems very out of place for blue. As such I'd change it to.

+2: Target creature gets a +1/+1 counter for each noncreature, nonland card in your hand. If that creature is Blue it gains flying until end of turn. If that creature is White it gains vigilance until end of turn.

Trying to keep the original intent of the ability but make it make more sense in both colors. White is the color of creatures, but has a lot of strong noncreatures while Blue is all about that. However this DOES create tension between wanted a good mix of creatures and noncreatures so I think it is far to make the bonus stick. The keyword is just a little extra flavor and to help fit with the colors even more. I cut the counting bit since Blue is the color of countering, not letting the opponent counter their stuff.

-3: Draw cards equal to the number of creatures you control with 2 or less power.

This ability works with White Weeny strategy and with Mentor of the Meek doing do something similar it is in color. Card draw is Blue and also works well with Blue since most of its creatures are on the small side.

My only problems with the -9 is again, exiling permanents seems very out of color for Blue. Maybe put a time delay like in "....your hand until the end of your next turn" since Blue normally only has temporary solutions to problems (bounce) and white is all about being able to give the opponent back their stuff (Oblivion Ring).

Still, card is nice. Plus I now have incentive to come to this section some more to see if any more MTG card crop up. :D
