Why Does Everyone Hate of Facebook?

Full Circle

Recommended Posts

I see so many sigs saying "98% teens would die if Facebook was completely destroyed put this in your sig if your part of 2% that would be laughing". Why? I find Facebook a way for me to stay in touch with friends far away and friends at school (when we aren't school)

Finally someone has the balls to say it.

No one hates Facebook. They just feel it's "cool" to set themselves apart from what they figure is the majority.

If a website doesn't interest me, I don't go there, and whatever happens on it is completely indifferent to me. This is what really happens with just about anyone that doesn't use Facebook, but that doesn't sound badass enough.

MSN is imo 98+2% better than FB.

I always thought of Facebook as a stupid site, but I never said that it wasn't useful for keeping in touch with others. The entire interface, method and workings of Facebook don't appeal to me para nada, so I don't use it. But you are right; it does have its uses, which is why so many people use it. I just hate anyone who plays Farmville or lives on Facebook, because that is stupid and sort of explains the idiocy running rampant in this country. Being social is good (ehh...), but staying on the computer "takin 2 yer frands liek dis" is completely moronic.

Are you an idiot? The majority of people don't want to jump off bridges, but you don't see the people not using Facebook jumping off of bridges. And have you ever met someone who was not social? I'm pretty sure if you want nothing to do with other people you wouldn't go on a SOCIAL NETWORKING site. <_<

Hey Dark. Wanna be friends?

Facebook is good if you meet someone over the Internet and wanna make sure he/she is not a perv.

Then read the hidden message.

waitwut

If you meet someone over the Internet... why do you care if he/she is a perv or not? It's not like you are going to give out your address, home number, cell number, school and age. And even if you do, the worst that could happen is Candlejack will come and tak

Some people do that because they think that they are "cool" like that.

they're not, they're being stupid.

I don't like Facebook. It could be used to communicate with people that you can't communicate with on a daily basis, but if anyone happens to spend most of their time on Facebook, talking to people that they can talk to the next day, then I happen to find that quite dumb. Sure, I could use a Facebook for the first option since I hate the second, but I don't like the first either.

So yeah. I don't dislike Facebook because I want to be cool by setting myself apart, because I set myself apart by making decisions on what I want to do, not by how many people are doing it, or by how few people are doing it. I dislike Facebook because I dislike it, and for that only reason.

FB is the Beast. It's a hunting ground for the FBI and the Advertising commities to have a field day. Need to track a criminal? Use Facebook!

I also heard thea criminal got caught for checking facbook durin a robbery.

I don't understand where you're going, but your bridge argument is ridiculously fallacious. Even you can see that.

What I said was, someone who doesn't like Facebook doesn't use it, period. A website isn't something you will ever feel strongly about enough to publicly proclaim that you DON'T use it, unless, as I said, you feel a need to set yourself apart from the perceived majority.

I honestly don't understand what you meant after the stupid comparison, I don't think it has anything to do with what I posted, I'm probably misinterpreting.

Pretty much sums up my opinion

If someone asks if you use Facebook are you going to blankly stare at them or say "no"?

but your bridge argument is ridiculously fallacious. Even you can see that.

stfu up, I thought it would work against the less intelligent members of YCM.

"98% teens would die if Facebook was completely destroyed put this in your sig if your part of 2% that would be laughing"

In response to the opening post, that would certainly not be my reaction, and that is what this thread is about.

As for your question, answering "no" is equally neutral to staring blankly, just more polite and psychologically healthy. :P
