Yu-Gi-Oh The Alternate Card Game for YVD - How to Duel Other People and Duel Results

So, someone requested that I make a tutorial on how to get people to start playing out game. We have around 4-5 people actually playing the game so far, and hope to get more, so I'm going to create a quick tutorial on how to do that.

 

Yu-Gi-Oh The Alternate Card Game is a collaborative card project in which anyone can make cards, and anyone can duel. You don't have to make cards for the project to play it and vice versa.

 

If you wish to play, here are the steps to do so.

 

1. If you do not have YVD installed, go here to do so.

2. Download our custom version of YVD here.

3. Take the .zip file you downloaded and open it - Windows XP or later does it automatically, or for older computers you'll need a program like WinZip or WinRar.

4. Extract all files into your main YVD folder - this is important because it shares some files.

5. That's it! Just run the new YVD (TACG Mode) to open it and built your deck. Also make sure to click "Settings" and give yourself a nickname other than Newbie if you want, and also update your sets since those that come with it are outdated.

 

The custom version 9.1 includes the following features:

 

-Custom Ban List

-Automatic card set updating for TACG

-Uses separate acg.set file for custom cards

 

Now, to find other people, we're trying to expand our IRC chat. It can be found here and once you get on, type /join #CCG - if we can get enough people to start idling there hopefully we can get a great duel base going.

 

You can always get mIRC too, and if you can I recommend it instead of using the web-based chats, but if you can't then they will work.

 

That's all for the tutorial. Now, this thread could also be used to discuss your duels here and tell us what you think about the balance of certain cards are, or certain strategies you find - since one or two people aren't going to test all the themes and cards :)

Ok to begin this deck was made from YVD that contain only cards made by card creators so credit goes to anyones cards that are posted here

This YVD 9.1 TACG application was created by Guybrush Threepwood.

 

Ok now to begin explaining the deck, first id like to say that everytime i used to see a Blackwing or Lightsworn deck i always wanted to see a deck that utilizes both milling effects and Swarm tactics, i literally used to drool in imagination of a deck like this not only is it a Dragon-Type themed deck but also FIRE!

 

First to start off SFD Kull is what makes this deck very powerful. However, making a good play with this card is a bit harder than it seems. To get the most out of Kull you need to make sure there is the appropiate cards in your graveyard.

 

Its very good to have level 4 or lower Dragon type monsters in your graveyard so that SFD Demi utlizes its SS from the grave ability.

Combining both Kull and Demi will make powerful plays that will land you the syncro summons needed for that turn.

 

Remember to think about the plays with these cards because unless you want to attack with weak monsters, syncro monsters in this deck are level 7,10 and 11 so its limited to the amount of plays you can make than if you were playing with a more variety.

 

A solution to this is SFD Kimo ,who is a lvl 8 monster, sending this card to the graveyard will give you 2400 ATK beatstick who can otherwise be utilized for the high level syncro summoning.

 

Deck engine

This deck uses Shining hope as the draw engine. The thing about SH is that its better to have SFD monsters on the field to make better plays because in addition to drawing it, sends cards from your deck to the graveyard, for example SFD Kimo.

 

3 Devestated Realm Magi, 3 Devastated Realm Volcanic, and 1 Devastated Realm Necron Magus will make the deck more explosive, milling cards like Kimo and sending more SFD cards to the Graveyard where they are needed.

 

SFD Saideto is self explanitory, the card gives you an automatic plus 1 like Elemental hero Stratos except it this deck this card will be more powerful since there are multiple ways of summoning it.

 

SFD Call it gives you a more explosive Swarm. Summon Kull then send Demi to the Graveyard. Specail Summon Demi then reapeat the Process until you have enough to syncro summon SFD Pyrox.

Pyrox and Demi are @1, which is why SFD are Tier 2.

Also, SFD practically play themselves, which is bad.

Also, Divine Barrier, Abrupt Tempest, Summon Denied, Forest Scout, Recycling, and Interdimensional Explosion should be in most decks.

Well... I see that a Tournament is starting... And yet I don't have a clue about this ".set" and ".dek" files... Or have even downloaded it... I might not even be able to complete the tournament, seeing as I'm not on next week... I'm getting my computer fixed XD
