DARKPLANT RISING
Ah, that evil robot that came from Transformers, filled with OTK's. Evil, evil. But, that not-once-per-turn OP'edness was the reason for its ban, right? So let's make it this way. Let's say that DSF's diabolic ability was nerfed to once per turn (or, Konami made another "Dark Striker Fighter #2" like that, exactly the same except for the "once per turn" being added, and the pic). Yes, that simple. End of story. Would that unban DSF, or let the #2 version pass unlimited or limited? And would it affect the meta? Discuss. Chaos Flame
That idea could work since you could only inflict 2400 damage a turn at max by tributing like ultimate nightmare...
Archelaus
They could also just errata the original DSF and put "Once per turn"

Master Hyperion
Even with the "Once per turn" clause, it would still be broken since it can still Tribute itself in order to deal 4000 damage on its own, which is the exactly how the DSF format worked. Try this instead: "This card cannot be Tributed. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 monster you control to inflict damage to your opponent equal to its level x200." ATK/2400 DEF/1800

I'm going to assume that math isn't your strongest point. Attack directly with DSF for 2600 damage. Tribute Dark Strike Fighter.Level 7 x 200 = 1400 burn damage2600 + 1400 = 4000 damage in total just on its own.

Also' date=' there's no real gurantee that your opponent will have no monsters on his field.[/quote'] If you control a DSF, its most likely you will also have an Arcanite Magician on the field as well that is Summoned during the same turn. Father Wolf
The anime effect was u couldnt activate its effect during the turn it was summoned i think... that would be balanced.
Master Hyperion
lol I just realized that my version of DSF is broken as well, since I can still tribute Arcanite Magician for the extra 1400 Burn damage... The only way to balance it is completely is to turn it into a Cannon Soldier. The anime effect was u couldnt activate its effect during the turn it was summoned i think... that would be balanced. Nah, Greiger is just a terrible player.

Which it already is. BtM's change is the best so far. They could also just errata the original DSF and put "Once per turn" You must not know what "errata" is. An errata isn't something done to fix a card because of OP'dness' date=' it's a change to the card to have it's wording and effect more closely relate to it's OCG counterpart. The easiest way to show this is Elemental Hero Stratos. When it came out, it could only search Destiny Heroes and Elemental Heroes. When it was reprinted, Evil Heroes had come out. In the OCG, it only read "add one 'Hero' monster to your hand" so it didn't need to be errata'd to add them. However, because it listed them here in the TCG, it had to be errata'd to add Evil Heroes as well.
Canadian
Countless cards would be improved / made worse if "Once per turn" was added or taken away. None the less, I would like to see a Level 7 2600 ATK Machine Beater. The effect just makes it that much better.

Coaster Guy
That's pretty decent. You can tribute a 8-star monster for your opponent to take 1600 damage.it's better than catapult turtle.
BDKMRV
This card cannot be tributed. Once per turn, you can tribute 1 face-up monster to inflict damage to your opponent equal to its level x 200. If you do, then this card cannot attack this turn.
