How To Make Good Cards-For New Members

Hello, I am BlueEyes22. This tutorial is to help new members "make cards."

 

[spoiler=1 Making a "Set"]A set is a group of cards based around one thing. Examples are , mythology, warriors, dragons for Realistic Cards, or Pop Culture Cards like Anime or tv shows.

 

[spoiler=2 What type of Monsters should I make?]Stick to effect monsters, Fusions and Synchros. As a Proud Pokemon Vanilla maker, this is ironic coming from me. Most people hate vanillas (YCM Slang for normal cards), so stick with Effect Mosnters, Fusions and Synchros.

[spoiler=How To Make Good Fusions]Make sure that all your fusions have realistic combinations. For example, all Elemental Hero Fusions have good mixes. But if you made a Fusion for BEWD and Cat-Nipped Kitty would NOT be good. DOuble check that you have typed in each monster needed in the Fusion Monster's Effect.

 

[spoiler=How To Make Good Synchros]Synchros are a little bit more complicated than Fusions, but are more popular here on Yugioh Card Maker. Make sure to put "1 tuner + 1 or more non-tuners" in every Synchro, since tuenrs are the base of Synchros.

[spoiler=4 Good Original Card Grammar]Use good Original Card Grammar, or OCG. This is the grammar for effects for cards. Look at cards with effects similar to what you want. Example: You want to make a ritual monster. Look at Relinquished's effect. You want to make a "Metalmorhped" Monster. Look at Metal Zoa. You want an effect like Blue Eyes Shining Dragons's. Look at Red Eyes Darkness Dragon. Doing this will help you out alot.

 

[spoiler=5 Spell's and Trap's]Make Spell's and Trap's! These are called Support Cards, and are sometimes confusing, but very helpful, especially when made for specific monsters! For example, if you make a Elemental Hero set, make Support cards that go great with Elemental Heros like Skyscraper.

 

[spoiler=6 Be Creative!] Be Creative and Have fun! Make what you like, and stick with it! You will get better and better!

 

[spoiler=About Joke Cards]Ahh, joke cards. these are great cards. NOT! Joke cards may be: cheesy instant wins, plain out stupid cards, cards with a horrible picture purposefully, etc; Joke Cards are usually funny, but they have their one special place in the games section. They can be posted in this thread, and in this thread only: The Official Joke Card Thread.
