CinnamonStar
Yeah one thing we can do is check at the Asian Cup if the same players are still there. I mean, for now we have accounts that they're alive.;)
.Leo
Spain is going to take it in penalty kicks. We got a very good match-up tomorrow. Gonna be great to watch!
-Berserker-
Good to hear they won't be executed in a gory display on the town square. :P Paraguay is made awesome by Oscar Cardozo' date=' striker-extraordinaire of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, my hometown team and Portuguese First League winners of the 2009-2010 season. [/ego-stroking'] Cardozo is only good with Di Maria (or whatever the name of the other guy was). He's not really that good. Everybody here lol'd at those who said "Paraguay has a crack at the bench"...

Everybody here lol'd at those who said "Paraguay has a crack at the bench"... Cardozo is unbelievably slow. I lost count of how many times I'm watching Benfica and thinking to myself "for God's sake man, wake up!". But, at least in Benfica, he's a great shooter when he gets a good pass. He was this season's top scorer, and the Portuguese League has some very good strikers at the moment. All in all, no, he isn't God's gift to football, but it was blatantly obvious I was being partial in my previous post. :P
CinnamonStar
*turns in circles* Octopus, parrot, what shall we doooooooooo~ But seriously I think this is kind of spoiling the games. Some people care less about the games themselves than about OMG octopussy was right~ It wouldn't surprise me if the Germans were less motivated in the semi-final, the German media are going crazy over that octopus. If someone comes to me prior to a game saying that my loss is already predicted I would be more nervous and less motivated than without it.What will we have the next World Cup, everyone taking their monkeys, goats and pigs to "predict" soccer matches?=/

Well' date=' I don't know about you, but if someone came to me and said the outcome of my match had already been predicted [i']by an octopus[/i], I'd have a really good laugh. :PEveryone predicts, and a fair number of people make a living out of predicting. Doesn't mean anything, especially in situations where there's a 50% chance that your prediction is right to begin with.It should be fairly indifferent for those who are actually going to do something about it, the players in this case. MarbleZone
Well, I couldn't shake off the feeling that the ref wasn't entirely partial... Oh well. I felt sorry for Robben at times. The man worked his a** off the entire match.

He was 1 on 1 against the keeper...and couldn't score. Still, Spain played better attacking football so they deserved the win.
CinnamonStar
What a waste of funking time. I sat through 2' date='5 hours to see the Netherlands beat everyone up, have Spain win in the last moment and as a result see more people believing in the "prophetic" powers of a goddamn sea creature picking his food.[/quote'] This.:< I think Spain deserved to win but disappointing final is disappointing. Wtf Netherlands, I thought at that level you didn't need kung fu techniques to play?-.- That Iniesta goal was really beautiful and other than Casillas being awesome at the goal it was the only good thing in the match. I was hoping that it would get cancelled and none of the teams would win.:< I mean, the Netherlands played like bastards, they wouldn't deserve to win for sheet but Spain is calculating, they did nothing in the knockouts at the point of losing against SWITZERLAND and then they did good semi-finals. Not very nice towards the fans who want to see effort tbh... Oh well grats Spain!:P I'm gonna miss World Cup feeling though.;__;
Fizzy™
Spain won fairly and they deserved to win. I was going for Spain from the start of the world cup and especially after Argentina was knocked out I was sure Spain would win. Robben is pro at diving. I lol'd every time he clearly dived. Puyol didn't trip him when he asked for the free kick, he kept going because he wanted to score and decided not to dive but he failed to beat Cassilas. Best player was Cassilas imo. Spain mightn't have made it so far without him. That flying kick of De Jong's to the chest should have gotten a red card. Tbh the flow to the game was ruined by the Dutch tackles and all the fouls. Spain didn't win with aggression, they won by playing good football. The best part of the game was when the only goal was scored obviously. Nice touch and finish by Iniesta. I always like watching Spain play but I'll admit that the game could have been better and should have been more exciting. Anyways I'm happy that Spain won :)
