"Well I guess I would be alone if I hadn't met you here, hehe." Elliot said jokingly. "I'm also kinda nervous about the new system as well, but yeah you're right, if the Tournament Director enforces this new rule then that means it must've gone through testing first, so nothing to worry about. Just go with the flow I guess." Elliot then stood up and walked towards the room's window, looking outside to see if the tournament has begun yet. "The tournament still hasn't started....." Elliot said quietly to himself. He then turned back to Yamato. "Yeah, I can't afford my own Duel Runner, not to mention I also can't afford a Duel Board either.... How about you Yamato, did you rent one or do you have one already?"

Yamato shook his head and replied, "I already have one; it's also new technology: I can compress it into this orb, but don't touch it; it'll be dangerous without protection," he added to warn him. At the same time he had said those words, he also removed the orb he had been talking about, but the strange thing was, it was levitating and wasn't touching his flesh. And then he added comfortingly, "I know, it sucks being poor, but I learned to live with it when I had been younger. Do you still need a Duel Disk? I could lend you one for the tournament."

"New technology? Wow, that's awesome, first time I see it." Elliot was weary of touching the orb because it might expand into a full-size Duel Runner. "Yah, I'll refrain from touching your orb, hehe." Elliot said as he scratched the back of his head. "That's also interesting how the orb is just floating in midair like that. Wow, that's really unique.... I wish I had a Duel Runner like that, carrying it around would be so easy. It's great for instant Turbo Duels probably. By the way, I'm not poor, my parents won't buy me one. They say I need to earn my own money and I don't have a job to get money. Oh, you just reminded me! I don't have a duel disk! It would be great if you can lend me one." Elliot stated.

Yamato smiled. "It's alright if you don't pay me anything, but..." he paused. "You'd better not break it." He rummaged through his pocket and found a small bag of what seemed to be marbles. He handed him a blue marble-like object. "I have enough of these not to miss a missing one, but I am pretty fond of the blue, purple, and silver ones. You'll have to put it in the Duel Disk Holder to make it materialize though. And," he paused once more, "it's also new technology. Though, I'm serious; don't lose it. Either way... not being able to have money is almost the same as being poor," he added.

"Wow this little thing will turn into a duel disk? That's awesome. Technology's really catching fast these days along with the new innovation of Turbo Dueling. Anyways, this is really cool. And don't worry I won't lose it, promise!" Elliot exclaimed and gave a friendly smile. "Umm, by the way, you don't happen to have a duel disk holder with you too, do you? Because I don't...." Elliot asked curiously as his smiled disappeared from his face. "(Wow, this guy must be loaded or something to have all of these new technologies, either that or he has a rich friend, hehe.)" Elliot thought to himself.

"You think you know of someone else?" Kane said, a little surprised at the admission. "Who exactly do you mean?" he asked. Suddenly a voice sounded over the loudspeaker system. "All duelists please report to the main lobby for distribution of brackets. The first duel will begin in approximately 35 minutes."

"Looks like it will have to wait, Jane." Kane said " I don't want to miss that match..." He smiled. In the turmoil of the past day had made him forget why he was there in the first place: to duel. He kissed her on the cheek "Shall we go?" he asked her.

Jane nods, "Yeah, the guy that carried me to the infirmary after I had a panic attack near your duel with the woman that stole Stardust's card, I think he may know more abou-" she was cut-off by the harsh voice on the loudspeaker. She dug her head into Kane's chest and put her finger over her other ear to protect her sensitive hearing. She blushes at the kiss on her cheek and agrees, "Yes... I believe we probably should go to the lobby. I don't want to miss out. We could end up being in the first round after all." she disconnects from the embrace, leading in front of Kane to the lobby, but not going off too far from him.

Yamato replied, "No problem." Then looking around, he had heard an announcement say:

"All duelists please report to the main lobby for distribution of brackets. The first duel will begin in approximately 35 minutes."

"That's our call. We're going to have to go soon. Oh, and in case you're wondering... I'm not rich, nor I have a friend. You see, I work in this company that manufactures materials used for dueling. As for what this company is called, I'm afraid I can't tell you. That's why our products haven't been released to the public, or else you would see tons of rich jerks showing them off," he said.

Nick scoffed, "Shut up you blowhard. Anyway, I'll be right over I've just gotta-" he hears the announcement to return to the lobby, "Ah damn it... never mind. I'll just meet you in the lobby. I'll be in disguise though. I'm not sure if the girl will be there to see me. Talk to you later Dan." he ends the call as he doubles back to return to the bathroom in which he left his clothes. He was obviously going to have to get back into proper attire for this.

Melody was going to walk back to her room when she heard the announcement, and decided it was best if she went back to the lobby to get the brackets for the tournament. On the way, she looked over her deck. She wanted to be sure that she was absolutely ready for anything that would be sent her way in the duel. She continues to walk to the lobby when she crashes into Kane and hits the floor, mildly dazed by the force she just slammed into, "Hey, do you mind?" she scoffs as she gets up, dusting off her pants and picking up a few cards she dropped.

Saviero shook his head, having dozed off. "Wha? Oh, the brackets are gonna be handed out. Sweet!"

Saviero ran over to the crowd of people that were also waiting to receive a bracket. He grinned as he saw them. I can't wait to impress some of these people; I'd make quite a bit being paid to team up in tag matches if I can give off a good impression here!

The adolescent smiled even wider, jumping in place. This is it, the time to prove to those rich duelists who I am!

He had always disliked the stigma placed on the economically disadvantaged duelists that made a living with their cards. Everyone from every class would be participating in this event, however, and he wanted to prove that skill was skill, no matter how rich or poor you were.

"Oh thanks Yamato." Elliot then heard the announcement. "Oh, we should hurry up then!" As Elliot was about to leave, he heard Yamato mentioning about what he was thinking of. Elliot stopped at the door. "(Can he read my mind or something? Oh well, gotta get going!) I see, alright then, let's hurry." Elliot stated as he walked off towards the main lobby.

Dan was still on his cellphone with Nick when he heard of the announcement. "Well Nick, I guess you must've heard that. I'll be seeing you in the main lobby." Dan closed his cellphone and placed it back into his pocket. Dan then stood up from his chair and walked off towards the main lobby casually.

Saviero found a clearing in the crowd and darted to get his bracket, tripping over someone's foot and regaining balance right before he would have crashed into a young woman*. He stepped back, tripping and falling backwards. "Ouch..." He mumbled, rubbing his head as he stood. He looked to the girl. Hm... Something tells me they'd be a good opponent. Oh, well; maybe we'll find out during the tournament.

"How am I supposed to get any sleep like this? *sigh* fine, when the universe wants you awake there ain't much one can do about it."Seth stood up and cracked his neck, the announcement was obviously for the tournament, and even he was thrilled for it, about as thrilled as finding a penny on the floor of a bank that is. "Okay then, now where is the stadium..." he thinks hard about it for a second, and then looks to his side vöila!

"ah all my questions have been answered...hooray, he said unenthusiastically, he took a slow stride towards the building and as he was walking he saw a Duel Runner, Black with Purple flames going across it, the lines of the Nazca people all over it, the front of the Duel Runner was in the shape of a Condors head and it even had a button to turn it into a recliner.

"Interesting....but how..." he looked in the cup holder(can fit Extra large Drinks by the way) and saw a card, he picked it up and read. "I knew you would forget, so I had this ordered months ago, good luck in the tournament, I'm rooting for you ~Claire"

"Good old Claire, don't know what I'd do without ya." he looked at the Button key taped behind the card and pressed it it had a small robotic voice say [ORDO EVERTO RIDER SIN 006 SLOTH: SETH RIVERS, DNA PRINT MATCH]

"This just gets cooler every second, let's go then....." he walked along towards the Stadium entrance, a large lazy grin on his face.

Finally, Aifeldt thought. It was an excruciatingly long wait to get to the first brackets. Hopefully there would only be ground duels, as those were where he excelled. Especially with his current deck... He moved swiftly, stopping for no one. Thankfully, there was no one in his way, so he had a rather easy time getting to the lobby. He got his number and took a seat, expecting to see the room crowded quickly.

Yamato walked after Elliot, confused. I can't see when I'm supposed to do this, he thought, shaking his head. Then once more, the same 3-headed Duel Spirit came back, to reassure him. Once they were in the room, Yamato immediately found a seat and sat down almost as soon as he saw it. Man... the work I have to do..., he thought, groaning. He glanced at his watch. "It's almost time to start..." he murmured to himself. Then he shook his head, and waited...

Madeline perked up when she heard the announcement. Excellent, she was ready for the tournament to finally get under way. Weird rules or not, she was excited. First, she hoped she wouldn't be in the first match, because she wanted a sneak peek at the action, and learn the rules and tricks as soon as possible. With swift, gliding strides, she slipped over to the lobby area.

Derek also heard the announcement, and in that time he had to make a decision. The boy he was facing showed some degree of talent, and he himself did not have to concern himself with attending the bracket meeting, nor would victory or defeat upset him. He could continue the duel to see if Aster would be accepted, but in order to make sure the boy's name was fit into the brackets without as much complication, he'd need to make the arrangements at once.

With a flick of his wrist, he hit the manual override button (also known as the Scoop Switch) on his Duel Disk, the holograms on his field disappearing.

Derek LP: 0.

"It seems our time has been overrun, lad," he told Aster kindly. "Your lifepoints were higher than mine at the duel's pre-conclusion, so I will declare this game in your favor. Congratulations. I will make the necessary arrangements for your inclusion and I wish you the best of luck."

With a wave of his hand, he pointed towards the direction of the lobby. "Go down there with the other duelists." With that, he took his cell phone from his pants pocket and began to dial for the important call.

Aster felt..well some what supprised. "Thank you, I'll get going right away." Aster said running towards the lobby, this was going to be fun.

Aster arrived at the lobby and sat down until the bracket appeared, eating a proteen bar from his pocket. "How old is this again?" Aster wondered when it tried to come back up five seconds later. "Great... thanks a lot stomach." Aster said makeing his way to the bathroom, but was back out in time for the unvailing of the bracket."

Yamato raised his eyebrows. Another person? What now? Although tired, he smiled at him back as he had (and still was) and said to him, "Hello Saviero, the name's Yamato. You're in tournament, too, I'm guessing?" In his mind, he knew the answer before he asked. Then he looked at him more carefully. "Oh! That reminds me! I forgot to get a bracket!" He ran back in line, but still paying attention to Elliot and Saviero. Hm... That sounds funny. "Saviero...", he smirked, but meaning no offense. It sounds like Savior with an "e" added to the name...

"Sorry." Kane said as he bent down to help Melody pick up her cards. He was perplexed as to why she would get mad over a little accident, but he ignored it for the moment. "My name's Kane. Yours?" he asked as he stood up, a friendly smile on his face. He looked her over, and something about her seemed familiar, but he couldn't put his finger on it. The WIND mark on his right hand throbbed lightly, as if to tell him something, but at this point he had become accustomed to it enough that its smallest reactions could be ignored. Kane scratched his head, waiting for a reply to his question.

Saviero yawned while the young man went to get a bracket, hand on his deck. "Don't worry, DD, you'll get your time to shine." He sighed. He began to look at the bracket, searching for the name Yamato. There are three... I guess I'll learn his last name when they call for him. He thought, yawning. The noise of the crowd was a bit annoying to Saviero, but he wasn't going to lose any sleep over it. He closed his eyes, sighing. Sleepy... But I can't go to sleep now... I might get called to duel... Dammit, I should have went to sleep instead of dueling this morning, I can't be running on fumes during this tournament!

Jane turns around when she hears two loud thuds, one after another, and a woman yelling loudly at someone. It was this... girl with a really short Pink sweatshirt and no shirt under it... weird. Even weirder, she was yelling at Kane. Jane walks over and bends her top half over, arms flattening her skirt, making sure that if anyone passed by, no-one would see anything she did not want them to see. She asks politely, "Are you alright?" she stands back up and kneels down to pick up a card that flew over near her, "Flamvell Commando? You run Flamvell's, then..." she felt a certain warmth from the card. As a matter of fact, it kind of burned. She handed it back with an "ouch." underneath her breath, and she returns to her original thought, "I run Lightsworns myself. Are you in the tournament? I wish you the best of luck if you are and we face. Well anyway Kane, we best not be late then. We don't want to be late for the bracketing. Oh, by the way, my name is Jane." she pulls her hood back over her head, hair covering a majority of her face, excluding her left eye. She waits for Kane to keep walking before they continue.

Melody had stood up, accepting cards from everyone that had given her the ones she had dropped. She noticed that the girl was bothered by something after touching her Commando. Odd... she spoke up, "My name is Melody. Yes, I run a Flamvell deck... Well, kind of. It's actually my brother's deck. I may have possibly stolen it from him to duel here." she half smiles, she wanted to look legitimate, but she couldn't exactly lie to these people. They were so nice to her and she didn't know anyone here. She did notice ONE thing however. Her hand started to feel all weird when they got close to her. She even noticed symbols on their hands... She identified them as Kanji symbols. One was WIND, and one was LIGHT. Weird. she thought. Maybe they're just overly obsessive of their element?

"OH! You guys are going to the main lobby too? Can I join you? I don't really know anyone here. You people were the first ones to talk to me, and I have to collect my bracket."

Terra, hearing the announcement headed to the lobby to find out when his match would be nervous about who he would be dueling. On his way he noticed other people talking but was to nervous about who he would be dueling, something told him that something was up but he didn't know what. Once he reached the lobby Terra sat down and looked through his deck, could his cards really beat these people, Terra had never been in a tournament and he had never really gotten that high in the gang, but he had been invited so maybe he could do it. Finally Terra took a deep breath up at the monitor.

Elliot arrived at the main lobby at the same time as Dan. Elliot continued to walk while Dan was in front of him. "(Alright.... Time to play the nice guy act...) Hey there Ell- Whoa! {THUD!}" Elliot didn't payed attention to where he was going and bumped into Dan. Both of them fell to the ground. "HEY WHY DON'T YOU WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING YOU LITTLE- Uh, I mean, are you alright Elliot?" Dan asked as he helped Elliot up.

"{Sigh} Sorry Dan, I was just distracted by something....."

"Oh no, it's my- (Damn it, I can't say it's my fault, my pride won't allow it....)"

"It's your what?"

"Never mind Elliot. So what's bothering you?"

"My chest kinda hurts a little bit, I don't know why. Don't tell me.... I'm gonna get a heart attack?!"

"(What an idiot....) Of course not. You don't look like the kind to get one. (But I wish you did....)"
