Madeline blinked when she felt herself tugged to the side by someone, second later followed by crashing on the ground. "You've got to be ** kidding me!" she snarled, inexplicably whirling on her rescuer. Unfortunately, she couldn't tell who it was. "Wait, who the hell are you?" she demanded, one of her eyes twitching. If it was the last guy who slammed into her, saving her life this time or not, she was going to sic her Immortal on him.

Everything was so dark and hard to see. Elliot fumbled around to try to get to a safe place. "Hey are you guys alright?"

 

"Yes thank Mr.!" the two kids exclaimed as they gave Elliot a hug. The kids' parents then came to where they were.

 

"Thank you so much young man."

 

"Oh it's nothing really, I can't stand seeing anyone get hurt if I'm able to save them."

 

As the family left, Elliot stood up and tried to find a place to hide. Just then, Elliot's chest began to hurt again. "Ugh....." Elliot held onto his chest and dropped to his knees. His chest then began to shine a bright blue color.

 

Dan noticed the shine but couldn't see Elliot. "What the hell? One of the Six?!"

 

The light then disappeared and Elliot ran off.

Saviero grinned. "I'm the one that saved you from being a cushion for that support beam. It's Saviero, and if you're gonna be that upset, I'm leaving."

Saviero waved with his glowing hand, getting into his Duel Runner and maneuvering past the others, having his seating area transparent. "Are you getting out of here or do you want the entire building to take a shot at you?"

Saviero's duel runner began to glow from the designs, the duel runner letting out a low whistling sound before blasting out of the exit and into the street.

"hmm...well, this seems to be new....it looks like it's time to go ahead and start...." he had just got off the phone a few seconds ago, and with it he sighed, but then his eyes changed and he seemed to have no more remorse in the coming seconds, as the place continued to shake, sloth just stood there, trying to look at all the competitors for Lucas, the man he defeated. "now then....I guess it's time to chow down....isn't it?" he asked his Immortal

Terra was confused when the lights went out and even more so after the rumbling, he turned his headlights on and prepared for the worsted. "Really, this is going to happen right before my duel, its almost as if something wants me out of this tournament." He looked around trying to figure out what was going on, he didn't know if the match would continue or not but he felt it would be safest to stick to his Duel Runner in case his was just part of the show.

This was Aifeldt's thought as he was running out of the stadium, dodging people and objects. He swiftly pulled some sunglasses from his coat and put them on, knowing full well the dusty repercussions of earthquakes. He got to the garage. Sure enough, a line of D-wheels, none of them occupied. He found and hotwired one that fit his "tastes", and he was out of there. Greed knew that the chance would come. He just needed to find one of the Six, and could finally do away with this obstacle called "tournament". He could collect some souls.

Jane got up, "This isn't really my kind of food. I'll be right back." she said, smiling. She got up and walked away, her mark was glowing so brightly today. She was walking up the stadium stairs and into the hallway when a massive force seemed to slam into her and everything around her. She falls flat on her backside when she sees Elliot save two children from certain death.

 

"Elliot!" Jane comes running over to meet up with him, "Are you okay!? What's happening!?"

"Yeah.... I'm alright...." Elliot said weakly. "(I thought I saw something glow on me? Probably just some weird light.....)" Elliot held onto his chest and stood up off the ground. "Are you alright Jane?" Elliot asked concerningly. "I don't know what's happening here, but we need to find a way out. By the way, have you seen Kane?" Elliot asked as he looked around for any type of exit.

 

Dan stood watching people running in rampage to get out of the stadium. His goal was to find any of the Six to take their soul. Just then, a massive wall collapse over above Dan, but as it got close to him. A dark energy lashed outwards and destroyed the wall with Dan still standing there casually. "I can feel the earthquake calming."

Aster ran for the exit as small debree came down appon him. "I've got to get out of here." Aster got out of the building even while the ground was still shakeing. he looked around and saw that lots of people had gotten out. "At least i'm safe." Aster said faceing the croud of people around him. "Well, so much for this tournment and i was hopeing i could get to try out my new deck," Aster said with a sad look on his face. [someone please interact with my character, i'm so boared]

"Ah yes, you with the Runner," Madeline mused, managing to restrain her temper. "Thank you, then," she said, brushing her silver hair from her eyes and returning to her more pleasant demeanor. "I snap under stress, I guess," she said, shrugging innocently. Her eyes stared around at the street. "I want to know what the hell just happened, though," she grumbled.

 

"Things like this don't just happen," she continued, scowling. "Well, they could, but they usually don't."

Saviero stepped out of his runner, grinning. "Well, then, whatever just happened, this tournament isn't over; I think we owe each other a duel, non?"

 

Saviero once more sat in his Duel Runner. "Whenever you're ready... I'm not leaving without a duel, win or lose."

The Runner activated again, Saviero inserting his Deck. It shuffled, then asking to draw his starting hand. "No. Wait."

The Duel runner made a noise in response and Saviero sighed, awaiting Madeline.

As the earthquake power outage occured, a grin split Yamato's face with glee. So, it's time?, he thought excitedly. He took out his 'Crimson Beast' Deck and clenched it hard with his right hand. It became a solid glass prism. He replaced it in his left hand and clenched it harder. He flipped it over and smiled, satisfied. The top card was... "Earthbound Immortal - Cusillu". He jumped off the arena and vanished into thin air...

 

He popped up out of a hole he had just created, with an eruption of purple flames. He chose to do it in an alley; it would have been... most displeasing if he had been seen. He quickly sealed off the hole and walked around, noticing a sad-looking boy (Aster). His eyes glinted silver, then purple, then back to green. He walked up to him and said, "The tournament's going to be delayed, I think. Want to duel?"

Madeline blinked at the sudden challenge, a flicker of a smirk crossing her face. It seemed like this time, she wasn't being given a choice of whether or not to duel. That suited her just fine. She could use someone to work off a little steam. "If that's how you're going to put it...very well," she snickered, managing to keep her sweet facade in place.

 

From underneath her robe, she detached a miniaturized Disk. It really wasn't any different from her other one, just more compact and thus easier to store with her clothing instead of on her arm. She had been wary of wearing her disk, since she doubted there were any other left handed females wandering around, and she just couldn't afford the possible recognition.

 

She slipped the device onto her right arm and removed her deck from her left hip, thrusting it into the deck slot. The automatically shuffler swiftly triggered.

 

"Very well, then," she said, pausing to straighten her hair out of her face and held up the ready disk. "Then I guess you don't mind...if I start it off. Ladies first, and all that," she chuckled.

 

She gracefully flicked five cards into her hand, followed by a sixth.

 

"I'll start the round off by activating Moray of Greed," she mused. "I return 2 Water monsters to my deck and draw 3 cards," she said, flashing a Des Frog and a Poison Draw Frog before placing them on top of her deck, triggering the shuffling mechanism again. She then drew three cards and smirked.

 

"I place a card facedown and summon Swap Frog!" she stated. A yellow horned frog materialized, croaking. (Lvl 2, 1000/600) "It lets me place Ronintoadin from my deck to the graveyard. That'll do for this round," she said, smirking.

"Really? Frogs? Okay, then! I guess I'll show you Machines can match your swarming abilities!"

 

Saviero drew his starting hand, then adding his sixth. His eyes widened a bit, grinning. "Well, then... Let's see what I can do. First! I'll go ahead and make sure I don't get shut down by playing Mystical Space Typhoon! You don't mind if I destroy that card of yours, do you?"

 

A field of dark clouds washed over the two, lightning temporarily illuminating the field. (Response? If not, I'll continue.)

The face-down card was struck by lightning and exploded, the storm fading away.

 

"Now, I'll Summon Proto Cyber Dragon!"

 

A large, mechanical dragon appeared, roaring and lashing it's tail as it crackled with electricity. (ATK 1100/DEF 600)

 

"Now! I'll activate Future Fusion!" I was lucky enough to get this in my opening hand... He silently added.

"Sorry, pal, but you can't fight just yet. Now! I send 2 'Jinzo', Cyber Dragon, and 2 'Jinzo - Returner' to my Graveyard!" By activating Jinzo - Returner's effect, I can Special Summon the two Jinzo I sent to the Graveyard. They go boom at the end of this turn, though..."

 

Two andriods appeared, arm's folded. "Now, Jinzo #1, attack that frog! (ATK 2400)

 

"Now, I'll let my other Jinzo attack you directly! "(Response here? Can't be a trap, though...)

 

"With that, put my Proto Cyber Dragon in defense position, put 1 card face-down, and end my turn..."

 

The two androids faded away, the metallic dragon curling up.

Madeline frowned as her facedown Froggy Forcefield shattered, leaving her monster exposed to attacks. However, she was overall undaunted. She smiled calmly at his Future Fusion, even as the two Cyborgs materialized on his field, ready to tear her monster and lifepoints apart. She shielded herself with her disk when the series of attacks occurred, stifling a hiss of annoyance.

"Not the worst maneuver," she admitted, drawing her next card. She wasn't kidding. In one turn, he had shaved off half her lifepoints and a bit more. "I summon Submarine Frog!" A frog wearing a diving suit and wielding a spear materialized in front of her. (Lvl 2, 1200/600) "Take out his Proto Cyber Dragon!" she ordered calmly.

Saviero smiled. I have Negate Attack ready, but it's not worth it right now...

 

His Proto Cyber Dragon hissed before exploding, metal shards flying at him. "Not bad..." He grinned, his life Points decreasing by 100.

 

"Is that it? I hope our duel isn't short."

 

Saviero smiled, frowning when he looked at his hand. Damn. Lucky start, can I keep up, though?

Madeline smirked. "Two cards facedown. Your turn," she said, the frog settling down as two card holograms materialized behind it. The hood of her cloak flapped a little in the passing wind and she flicked a finger through her hair. "I wouldn't get too cocky, though," she warned. "I'm half beaten, but until I'm all the way, you still have to work."

 

Besides, the fun's just beginning. I doubt he'll last as long as Kane did.

Saviero grinned. "Don't worry. I don't intend to get cocky. I've seen too many people lose fingers after being like that and losing... Draw!"

 

A loud roar echoed during his Standby Phase, the first of two Standby Phases before his Fusion arrived.

 

Saviero drew a card, grinning." Well, then... It appears traps just aren't doing for you today... I activate Pot of Avarice!" (Response?) I send the 5 I used for Future Fusion back into my Deck!"

 

The five cards were shuffled into Saviero's Deck. "Then, I can draw two cards!"

Saviero Drew his cards, grinning. "First, I'll Set 1 monster! Now, I activate another Draw Power card. Graceful Charity! I draw three cards... And discard two! I discard 'Jinzo - Returner' and 'Limiter Removal'. Now, by activating my Returner's effect, I Special Summon Jinzo! Now, I send Jinzo to the Graveyard to Special Summon Jinzo Lord!"

 

A large android, an upgraded version of the previous Jinzo, appeared, snarling. "Now, I enter my Battle Phase!"

 

Jinzo Lord! Destroy that Frog!

 

The android charged a beam of energy in its hands, launching a powerful blast at the frog.

 

"I put 1 card face-down and end my turn."

Madeline calmly took the blast, her frog shattering apart and her lifepoints dropping to a pathetic amount.

 

"My turn," she stated, drawing calmly. "I can't help but think that you've made a horrible mistake in this duel," she noted. "I'll set a monster in defense position and watch you destroy yourself. Turn End."

Saviero hesitated, but shook his head. "I think you've made a mistake in thinking I'll only be limiting your Traps. Draw!"

 

Saviero smiled as the sky opened, Chimeratech Overdragon emerging and entering the field, roaring. (ATK 5000)

 

"The thing is... I don't intend to even attack with this card... I Normal Summon Cyber Child! (ATK 100). I send my Cyber Child to the grave and pay 1600 Life Points to Special Summon the last Jinzo in my deck!"

 

The android appeared, looking around.

"Now, I play monster reincarnation! It allows me to add Cyber Child to my hand. By activating one of my face-downs, Double Summon, I can Summon her again! This time, I pay 1600 Life Points to Summon Spell Canceler... Your Spells and Traps are useless now... Jinzo! Attack that face-down! (Response?)

"No, your mistake is FAR greater than that. Read your cards," Madeline cackled as the multi-headed machine appeared. (ATK: 4000. 5 material monsters x 800) "When Chimeratech Overdragon is summoned, it sends every card on your side of the field to the graveyard. And one of those cards is the continuous Spell, Future Fusion. Which, when that is removed from the field, it destroys the Fusion monster that was summoned. Well done, you wiped your own field clean during your Standby Phase."

 

She tilted her head almost tauntingly. "So what'll you do this turn?"

There was nothing he could do. His eagerness to quickly end the duel had cleared his entire field. Cyber Child was in his hand, but with his set Spell gone, he could only get out 1 monster...

 

"I summon Cyber Child! Now, I pay 1600 Life Points to Special Summon Jinzo! Jinzo, attack that face-down!"

 

Cyber Child fell apart, while Jinzo attacked.

 

That's it. All I've got is Jinzo, and if this destroys him...

Madeline chuckled a little, her monster revealing itself to be a light blue frog with a graduation cap. It shattered apart. "Dupe Frog, when it is sent to the graveyard, I can add one Frog from my deck to my hand. I choose Unifrog!"

 

She smiled sweetly, well aware of the predicament of her opponent. "Anything else you want to do this turn?" she asked, smirking. You were fun to string along, Saviero. For that, you'll be spared from the fate of a shadow duel when I win.

The duelist lifted his head, prepared to face defeat. "Turn End."

 

Jinzo turned back to his master, then looking at his opponent. The android lowered his head as well, somehow aware of his demise.

Damn... I had been so impatient. I could have used Future Fusion to bring out my Divine Destroyer! They would have been unable to destroy him... And he would have had at least 10000 ATK... Gah! I'm such an idiot.... But perhaps them not knowing about the divine destroyer is a good thing... For now.

"And it's unlikely you'll do that. My set up is complete," Madeline quipped, drawing her card. "I remove Swap Frog from my Graveyard to Special Summon Ronintoadin from my graveyard!"

 

The blue tattooed frog emerged onto the field, croaking. (Lvl 2, 100/2000)

 

"I activate the Quick Play Magic, Inferno Reckless Summon!" Madeline continued, one of her facedown cards flipping up. "I can activate this when I Special Summon a monster with 1500 ATK or less, and it Special Summons all monsters from my hand, Deck, or Graveyard with the same name. In addition, you select a monster you control, and Special Summon all copies of that monster from your hand, deck, or Graveyard," Madeline smirked.

 

"It just so happens that Ronintoadin's effect is to have its name treated as 'Des Frog' while it is on the field, so this is the name that I search for. You, of course, will be bringing out your Jinzos, but they'll do you no good!" Madeline smirked, even as two more of the androids appeared on Saviero's field.

 

Three green frogs appeared beside the blue one, croaking smugly, as if knowing what was coming. (Lvl 5, 1900/0) x3

 

"I activate the spell card, Des Croaking!" Madeline said, idly slipping the card onto her Disk. "When there are 3 Des Frogs on my field, I destroy every card on my opponent's side of the field."

 

The three frogs joined in singing an ear-splitting melody of croaks and the three Jinzos exploded, leaving her opponent defenseless. Madeline smiled.

 

"The combined attack power of every monster on my field is presently 5800," she noted. "I activate my facedown Graceful Revival! This lets me Special Summon 1 level 2 or below monster from my Graveyard, such as my Submarine Frog, giving me a grand total of 7000 points of damage. Good game...you fight well," she said with a smile.

 

"Full assault, direct attack!"
