My Deck is better than yours!!! (Disc on Decks)

First' date=' It's not Mr. anything. It's Eibon1307. Or just Eibon. And, Sure, if you build your deck right Milling is great, but with collectors like myself, we build decks to work with the cards we have or we build decks that have more than just one strategy. Adding Milling to a deck like these listed kind of messes them all up and just practically destroys our cards. My top deck is one that utilizes Demise and The Masked Beast Ritual monsters to discard Horus 8 from my hand to the graveyard then use LV modulation to bring him out of the graveyard without needing his summoning conditions. Alot of my decks are like this. They use a send to graveyard/summon without needing to meet summoning conditions. Some monsters you must summon to the field and have them destroyed in order to SS them from the Grave. You cant send them from the hand of deck to the grave and summon them next turn cause you must summon them to the field first. If I added milling to these decks that would hurt me because I'd lose my strategy and burn cards for no reason. I'd most likely lose LV modulation, the ritual cards needed, or my high level monsters that I need to sacrifice to summon Demise and The Masked Beast.

So, I dested milling. It is simply destroying my cards. If you build your deck well enough, you shouldnt need to mill that much. And now there are cards that make milling negateable.

IMO it's a weak thing to do. so sure, laugh at me or whatever. But its my opinion. Doesnt mean its wrong or right.

Dumping Horus LV8 then reviving it with Modulation isn't a legal move...read this. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Level_Modulation

Milling is great in Ritual Decks because you can mill Djinns in excess, filling up the Graveyard with Ritual Material...Armageddon Knight, Dark Grepher, and Lightsworns like Ryko are great for this...The Masked Beast sucks.

HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok. For that ruling,They did it because to many people abused that card in the way mentioned. Almost every LV deck I have seen uses this strategy the same way i just mentioned it, and another thing, I know what BKSS means, But they should state that on the card. Not just expect someone to automatically know that. I have rarely disagreed with anything Konami does/says, but this one in particular is B.S. I have done that stratagey ever since I got Horus 8 because I am missing Horus 6 and didnt feel like wasting 5 dollars to buy one from ebay.

Nextly, The Masked Beast has over 3000 atk. How does it suck? Its a ritual and only "Know-it-all" wanna-bes who just started playing and completely forget this game has been around since I was in 6th grade. Anyone who disrespects a games roots is just a Loller-Noob.

And no opinion is wrong. It is AN OPINION. If I said it was a fact then you can rebuke me. No one should keep any opinion to themselves. I live in a free world. No one can tell me that I should keep my opinion to myself.

I accept your opinion' date=' but here is a tip. There is something known as BKSS ruling. It means "Because Konami says so". It's a rule that prevents you from using Level Modulation in a Horus LV8 that was not previously summoned...

Thank you Saikano. Your one of the few people here to respect an opinion.

Konami doesn't make rulings in order to stop card abuse, it bans them. And using Level Modulation on any monster, even Horus LV8, isn't so broken. Yes, that should be written on the card, but it's not. This is the world we live in - a world of Frogs and Phantom Hands.

The Masked Beast has 3200 ATK. Good for it. It also has no effect and is probably going to bring you down two monsters to play it. There are two playable Ritual monsters from the older run: Relinquished and Shinato. Oh, and Demise, of course (silly of me to forget). Shinato only because it's a stronger Masked Beast that has something approaching a decent effect.

I'm not sure if you've gotten the patented YCM Card Advantage Lecture , so allow me to give you a brief explanation. In general, card advantage is more valuable than any current high-powered monster or Life Point count, which is why burn decks usually don't work. The first 4000 Life Points are easy, but by that time you've -1'd yourself into topdecking. In the case of The Masked Beast, you need two cards in your hand (The Masked Beast, Curse of the Masked Beast). Then you play Curse of the Masked Beast (-1), Tribute a monster (-2), Tribute another (probably) (-3), and summon The Masked Beast (-3). Then your opponent flips Royal Oppression and it 'splodes (-4).

Now high attack power is useful because it leads to destroying monsters in battle, each destruction being a -1 to the opponent, or a +1 to you. But it's only useful if you can recoup the losses you made to gain it. The Masked Beast would have to destroy 3 monsters just to break even, and 4 to even out with its inevitable destruction. Or, you could equip lolGene-Warped Warwolf with lolAxe of Despair and get almost the same thing, which has already broken even, though would need to destroy 2 monsters in order to cover its destruction.

Now, as has been stated, your deck (if Level Modulation worked that way) would benefit tremendously from milling. Instead of having to worry about discarding Horus from your hand, pouring it off with Foolish Burial or Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter is much easier. Gold Sarcophagus can pull Level Modulation out of your deck so that it won't be milled. Again, as has been said, self-milling is a proven success. No one who has seen it properly used can doubt its effectiveness, just like no one accuses Allure of Darkness or Destiny Draw of being bad, even though they both lose you a monster. If you need any more evidence, Foolish Burial is Limited, even though it's a -1, seeing as we're fresh of the card advantage lecture.

There's not enough space on a card's text box to display it's own rulings. It's also a lame idea since the card game is constantly getting more cards, so the old cards would need to be reprinted every time a new card came along that involved the new card in it's ruling.

The Masked Beast sucks and 3200 ATK doesn't save it. Garlandolf, King of Destruction is a lot better. While having 700 less ATK that Beast, Garlandolf can devastate the field by destroying all other face-up monsters with equal to/less DEF than itself, and it gains 100 ATK for each destroyed card. If your opponent has all their monsters, you have a free direct attack. Also, it's a Level 7.

I started playing in 2003 and I love the current game A LOT more than it was back then because of the endless number of strategies. The only strategy I knew back in the day was lolbeatdown from playing Stairway to the Destined Duel.

Just because it's just an opinion doesn't make it immune to being challenged.

I think that Crystal Beasts should be banned mainly because they are one of the best decks! lol... I always wanted to say that...

Anyway, BW are better than LS this format. Sabers, Infernitities (lolpurposelymisspelled) and Quickdraw are the best decks this format. There are also a lot of Machina Gadgets because of the low price and the sheer epicness.

Fix'd. Yeah LS had their day, but they are dying thanks to the banlist hating them. I think they may get helped a little next format, now Konami have realized what they have done to them. Charge may be put @2 or maybe Lumina @2.

BWs suck this format. Everything that you listed is better than them.

With Gale @1 and BWW @2, BW are down, but most certainly not as bad as you make them out to be. Done right, Blackwings can still be pretty amazing.

Nothing beats Infernitities (lolpurposelymissspelled). They are also' date=' rather fittingly, nicknamed Unfairnities. Combine the two? Unfairnitities?

I'll accept Kiryu as an awesome person once he starts using that name.

Just like Crow and his Fagwings.
