Realistic forum rush

You know, I just noticed how fast members post on the Realistic Card Forum. I had made a thread. Less than a day later, it got pushed into the 2nd page. 2 days later, I couldn't find it anymore. It is amazing how fast people post the threads. And my threads hardly get comments anyway, so they die out quickly. Anyone with a similar experience?

Most people just want their own cards rated' date=' so that's what happens. But why really care when the raters are idiots and about 1% of them actually know what's overpowered by metagame standards?

I can name some members with 1000+ posts that are like that.

i'm not going to say the member's name but he thinks that Dreadroot with 3 statues other wicked isn't an overpowered combo compared to 2 customs that say "pay 1000 life points each turn to special summon a warrior card etc etc with more backlash" to special summon a 4000 attacker with a backlash as well.

I stopped posting my cards period for this reason. My cards never get comments even though they go well together while in battle.

This post is why I consider bland "8/10" posts far more rewarding.

But it really does depend on how well your thread is treated =/

Yeah, it's annoying. Personally, I still enjoy making cards; I only post in Realistic sporadically because I take a long time working on full sets.

Having been here for a while, I'm perfectly aware of OCG (though I occasionally mix YGO and MtG terms :P) and my cards are only as gamebreaking as I want them to be.

Regardless, I still love feedback on the mechanics and originality of what I worked on, and it can be slightly frustrating having no comments on cards I know are above Realistic's current standard. I'm not one to reminisce a lot, but back in 2008 we had some awesome card makers and raters, I kinda miss that time.

LOL @ the Guinea Pig. I guess this is why we have the Sticky System for the more important Threads. To be honest I have been trying to think of a solution to this. A Sticky in each Section that contaisn Links to the Mods fvorite and highly rated cards/sets.
