[DISC] Appropriate

Recommended Posts

Its really a pain to use unless you're forcing your opponent to draw a lot, mainly because first, in order to activate it, your opponent has to draw a card outside their draw phase to simply flip it face up (no cards are drawn at this time), then you have to wait for the 2nd time your opponent tries to draw before you can begin drawing yourself.

This means your opponent has to draw twice outside their Draw Phase before you can reap any benefits of this card.

Yes, if you just happen to have multiples out, then they'll stack, but they're very slow.

Can you use morphing jar? I'm not sure though we can abuse level modulation

You can only activate (read: Flip face-up) Appropriate when the last thing to occur was drawing cards. Therefore, you can activate Appropriate to Morphing Jar, but you cannot activate Appropriate to Level Modulation as it will miss the timing.

Once Appropriate is already activated and face-up on the field, then when any effect is activated (both Morphing Jar and Level Modulation included) where your opponent draws cards outside their draw phase, Appropriate will activate allowing you to draw 2 cards (because Appropriate's effect is a mandatory trigger and cannot miss the timing, and since its mandatory, you must draw 2 cards)

I'm hoping that one day, there'll be a weird card that lets you select a faceup card on your field, search your deck for another copy, and place it faceup on your opponent's field. Then you can force the Appropriate loop.

Ah, the Appropriate loop...trapped in a loop where everyone draws 2 cards until someone decks or reveals Exodia.

I use this in an exodia deck, it doesn't matter that your opponent is drawing D-Hero Defender has an annoyingly big defense and can often OTK on your own turn. This with hand destruction makes it discard 2 draw 4 like pot of greed, it requires 2 cards but you get to draw 2 more, you only really discard useless cards anyway.
