sasori_puppet_master
How do Gladiator Beast work? I know that they tag out when they attack or are attacked, but it's still a little confusing to me. Is there anything else I need to know?
Dr. Cakey
Almost all Gladiator Beasts have the effect, "At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can return it to the Deck to Special Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck, except "Gladiator Beast "."Most Glads have effects that are only activated or applied if they are Special Summoned by the effect of a Gladiator Beast, and are unimpressive monsters without their effects. Once you get one or two Glads out, you can basically keep on trading them in and out for control with Bestiari, Murmillo, or Retiari, beatdown with Laquari, speed with Samnite or Torax, or recovery with Darius and Equeste.Glads have a heavy reliance on Spells that support them, like the lovely draw 3 Gladiator Beast's Respite. They also have some Equip Spells, one of which (Gladiator Beast's Battle Manica) is rather exceptional. They also have their own recyclable Waboku (Defensive Tactics) and their own RotA (Gladiator Proving Ground). Gladiator Beast's War Chariot is another must-have.Last but not least, Gladiator Beasts very much rely on their 3 Fusions (or rather, 2 of them), which do not require Polymerization. Gladiator Beast Heraklinos can negate any Spell or Trap with a discard, and Gladiator Beast Gyzarus destroys up to 2 cards upon his summon. GenzoTheHarpist
^^^Ignore Respite is awful, Battle Manica is awful, Defensive Tactics is really, really awful.

Fraz
Respite is terrible. It gives the illusion that you are actually filtering your deck and making your hand better when its only good for stacking your deck.
Professional Duelist
It puts Secutor back into the deck. It can return glads like darius or equeste without setting up. You could put Samnite, etc. Card is definitely usable but there are better options.
Master of Chaos™
Gladiator Beast's Respite is meh. As in i would run 1 Copy,2 Max but i would only use it in really specific Situations. What i am trying to say is Respite is best run at 1 maybe 2 for the Players that concentrate on those kind of G.B. Decks that need to Draw Cards in exchange for Monsters.
