Drashi was one of the first shifters to ever exist. 2 distinct sides, he was known to be a special elite soldier, the transfiguration of the old hayabusa, but made stronger. With strength, however, came responsibility. He hunts for any monster that takes on the paralell side of his existance.

The world divided and split... forming 2 distinctly opposite, yet equal, realities. Over time, there was rumors of the gates, but that faded into legend over the years. For only drashi knew, and there was no way he could have defeated the dread guardian protecting the gates.

Many forms of armies rose to power. One of the first units were the dark and light archers. As they expanded, they discovered more and more about the rift, which was beginning to have strange effects on both sides of the reality. Oddly, sometimes actions on one side would make actions on the other happen. But that was yet untested...

I am only doing these cards for story reference. Every graphic will be from Epilogue.

Over time, many forces rose to power. Another of which was the famed priests. Many of these priests were dabbling in secret rituals, attempting to harness gems they discovered. One day... they made a breakthrough.

 

 

The rings were the way to shift. Finally people could turn either dark or light as they wanted to. But the priests had dabbled in the forbidden arts to forge these mighty rings, sometimes with painful results. Eventually, those forbidden practices in making the rings forced them into exile. But the people still enjoyed using the rings, in spite that the source was cut off.

 

In time, those same priests would return, but stronger.

Over time, the people forgot the priests, who had returned by then. Some became leaders, other merely were peaceful in nature. One day, on the verge of autmn, a girl named Tesara was born. Trained in the arts of dual archery and prestmanship, she discovered yet another special gemstone, this time laiden in the powers of leadership. A first. Sensing a vision, she built a mighty fortress, in a secret area.

 

 

But the guardian was getting impatient for a worthy challenger, yet not one was capable of beating it. Thus, he played a gambit. Attempting to turn the dark and light sides against eachother, war broke out. And that war lasted for many years. The only place unnafected was Tesara's forces, who remained perfectly neutral.

7 years later... and with great peril, Tasara had finally engineered some potent technologies that would help against other opponents...

 

 

With the fighters came a newfounded peace, but the guardian for the dimensions was still a threat. They couldn't even defend against it's mighty power. But then, at the nick of time, The drashii units finally caught up to her. For they were the descendants of the first drashii. Sensing a great power within both the fortress, and the girl, they bonded with her... bringing a new age to the lands.

 

 

Thus, this unit was born. But the peace would not last forever.... And they still had no way to take down the mighty guardian.

Tensions rose... and the forces became even more attricious of eachother. While the special guardians became increasingly more potent in defending, the armies of dark and light were beginning to get stronger as well. New tricks and techniques were being employed, and the society was finally reaching the chivalry stage.

 

 

Thus... these were born, and the wars were getting more intense.

The wars only became worse over time, and the guardian was beginning to be a serious menace, even when the defensive unit was present. Many battle not just the latter attributes, but now the guardian was building an army of his own. It was a grim year, 5 years after the guardians were made.

 

 

Fortuinately, Tasara was still hidden in that mountainplace, ever studying the ancient magics of times past. They had just uncovered a gem, and began harnessing the power of it. The dillema was that while it gave enough power to defeat the guardian, nobody could weild the magics needed to awaken the device fully.

 

 

It was a grim day indeed, and they needed to at least get past the guardian, who was attacking the regions. But one day, they had their chance, and much to their amazement, discovered the gates. Tasara and the drashii's had finally found it, and at the nick of time. For the dark and light forces had just found one of the few passages to her hidden citadel.

As they decided not to enter the gates, they noticed a special temple. On it was an altar. When they stood near the altar, a special light radiated on them, blessing them with the first light and dark powers. They had learned the prayers of near-invincibility!

 

 

Unfortunately, they didn't realise they had the prayers for a time. Then one night... they discovered another secret. In a dream, there was the guardian, but instead of a foe, it was a friend. It was battling with all the forces of light and darkness, against an even more powerful menace. For it was the guardian at the end of time itself. The next day, they discovered the power of the prayers.
