-DG-
I can accept CnC. The thing is' date=' in showcase ur not supposed to critisize ppl! Ur supposed to be helpful! You shouldnt neg anyone bcuz you dont know how to be respectful to anyone! So shut up, and get a life before I report you for giving me a neg when I didnt deserve one![/quote']Don't be a jabroni. CnC stands for COMMENTS AND CRITICISM. See it now? Starting to understand a bit? I negged you for a reason, and a damn good one at that. CnC thrives off of criticism. There's no way I'm going to say "Holy sheet! Good job, Mate!" when that's not what should be said. Your logic fails. You can't take CnC. I gave you CnC, and you rejected it twice. The "You're not God" in my neg comes from your ego. You've got a long way to go before you can even begin to touch the skill of graphics needed to make a decent tag or banner. So, learn to accept CnC. It's not always going to be what you want to hear. The following was a PM I intended to send to jumpking55, but couldn't due to, for dumb reasons, the fact that I'm on his ignore list, couldn't reply to. I need to bring a point up, and I think this is where it should go. A new rule should be put into Showcase, stating that, unless you are willing to take CnC and not retaliate in anger, you may not post in Showcase. This rule was brought up because Jumpking55 won't accept CnC and just barks insults back and says "Don't insult it. It's better than what you can do". He shouldn't. In no offense to him, he's a Nub at GFX and can't use GIMP well AT ALL. Does anyone agree with me? They seriously need this rule. It's bullsh*t now. Dark
If they can't accept criticism, why give them any? Just let them rot and force them to be the shitty GFX artist they are. If you are trying to help them improve (which I hope you are), and they refuse it on multiple occasions, how about don't help them improve? It's obvious that you on only posting in idiots' threads because you want +1 post count. If you really didn't give a shit about this idiot or his GFX, you shouldn't have criticized him at all. If he doesn't want to get better, don't bother with him. Alternatively, he's trolling you and winning.

Guest JoshIcy
.-. All I see on your end is "If you cant take an insult don't post something."On their end I see, "Would it kill you to be a little nicer?" However, Ive never understood the "God" mentality there. So your neg is valid, but overall complaint? No. Take it up with a Graphics Moderator (CryingRock and Yin are active).

The amount of immature idiots in GFX is overwhelming. I'm not. No one performing art is ever an idiot to me, and I never classify it as GFX. Because all it is is digital art. The same as Digital Painting or otherwise. There is no standard, only the one the artist bases theirs around, in which case learning is never done with insults. How would you like it if growing up your teacher told you that this and this screenplay sucks so badly, they'd sooner eat a cake out of a urinal as it's getting pee'd on? You wouldn't have much motivation to improve would you? Instead just look down and forget it. And maybe not you, but others would and you KNOW IT! Those people are not weak minded or weak willed. In fact, if they can learn more than those being insulted. Of course, if you go back to the whole "This is the internet- get used to it" mentality then we don't have a problem here and the moderators strictly dictate it. Fidel Castro
It might just be me but it looks like you are going on a 'uber' rage just as much as he is. Sure he has pissed you off but what do you stand to gain by showcasing both of your failings to the entire forum?
Brushfire
Your perception is flawed, Josh. He's not saying only take criticism. He's saying they need to learn to take constructive criticism and not take praises when it sucks. I know when I've wrote something bad and I'm always willing to take the criticism and improve on that. Ohoho, they are DEFINITELY weak-minded. They fail to realise that their own work is bad and refuse to accept that. You MUST accept that, no matter what, that is part of life. Perfection is non-existent. Hmph, lets try out your theory. Person #1: Here's my new stuff. (note: it sucks.)Person #2: Wow, that's amazing!Person #1: Thanks man :DPerson #3: Yeah, fix this, this and this. This was done bad, and this could be improved by this. This was very poor and you should fix that in the future.Person #1: You suck! You're an jabroni! I hate you, this site sucks!!!!1!!1 Yeah, right. Because Person #2 is SOO helpful and Person #1 is learning so much right now. Your philosophy regarding this is flawed so simply accept it instead of pampering to close-minded idiots. It might just be me but it looks like you are going on a 'uber' rage just as much as he is. Sure he has pissed you off but what do you stand to gain by showcasing both of your failings to the entire forum? The OP's scenario is a poor example. That doesn't mean he is wrong though. Brushfire
No, Person #2 should be saying that originally and stating WHAT is good about it. There needs to be stricter rules as to what you can comment in Showcase as to cut down on spam. You'd never see these kind of bullshit comments on SAW; and there are no rules even in place! We all respect GFX and know if you post in that section to make a decent comment. Why can't that apply here?

Cin
Alot of people can't take criticism, or hand it out constructively. DG you and a few others are all to quick to work it into flaming, several times I've gone into a topic, and it worked into a flaming frenzy where there's very little comment on the actual work and more on the fact neither party is willing to say anything constructive. I can't be on YCM all day. People need to learn to take criticism, but people here also need to learn to stop when they start working upto flaming. I agree 100%If they can't take it that's there fault. Who cares if they can't. You are trying to help by criticizing it. If they don't want to learn how to improve then that's their problem. Just leave it alone.
