Pokemon - The Great Adventure[started][accepting on OOC thread]

Avery noticed the kid had an elekid and a Quilava with him. that kid sure looks paniked, wonder what he dropped. Avery started looking around and noticed a pokedex on the ground. Hm I wonder...Yeah that's got to be what he's looking for. "Got Pidgeotto" he said quietly. Pidgeotto came out steathly. this is perfect, I'll lure him over to the small spring and have Gyarados pop out and scare him he threw out Gyarados and had it hide in the spring. Pigdeotto slowly flew down and snatched the Pokedex. It then flew up high very visable to the Trainer.

[Mr. Hyde]

Zach sighed. Abra gave him a quick stare. *Hey...I was trying to sleep.* Zach sat up and picked up Abra. "Abra, we were meditating." Zach laughed. Abra gave him a hug. "Thanks buddy, now it's time for a real rest...i might need you during the gym battle though." Abra nodded and returned to his pokeball. Zach then walked into the gym. "Hey...I challenge whoever's in charge of this place to a battle!" he shouted.

[Daxter]

As Hitmonchan was talking to the Kadabra, Michael decided to go back downstairs to see what was going on in the Gym. He hopped in the elevator with Hitmonlee and Sandshrew and down the elevator went, finally reaching the first floor. He hopped out and walked through the arena and out into the main lobby where he saw a guy standing with an Abra. "Well hello."" Michael said kindly. "Are you here to challenge the Gym Leader of Pewter?" Michael stood waiting for a response.

"Wow, when Im by myself things are never this eventful." Trinity laughed when she saw Lucas fall in the hole. She looked down at Vulpix wearing a thoughtful expression. "Hey....Guys, one of you mind going against me in a battle? It's been a long while since my Vulpix and I have been in a good battle." Trinity shrugged, "And you guys seem like good battlers. So what do you saw? Fancy a battle?"

[Mr. Hyde]

Zach smirked at the gym leader. "Indeed i am sir. Zach Mito's the name. Don't wear it out. I'm here to take one of those badges from you, unless you wanna do this the hard way and battle me." He laughed. He knew he had a cocky attitude. How couldn't he. He was a fairly good trainer...although he was beaten in his first battle. But it was a Shuckle v.s. a really fast Dratini. What did he expect.

[Daxter]

Michael smiled. "Well I wouldn't assume your gonna get one from me. So if you wanna earn it, follow me." Michael led him into the arena, where once again it was set up like a giant stadium, with giatn rock pillars all throughout it. "Ok so I am Michael, Gym Leader of Pewter City! I I belive this challenge is on, we will each only use 2 Pokemon." Michael looked over at his Hitmonlee and nodded his head. His Hitmonlee jumped up almost 50 feet in the air and landed on top of the tallest rock pillar. "Begin!" Michael yelled, waiting for Zach to call out his Pokemon.

[Mr. Hyde]

Zach paused. He tried to devise a strategy that used these giant pillars. But there was no time to think. Zach drew one pokeball. "Let's go, Heracross!" the pokeball he threw landed on top of one of the pillars revealing a Heracross. Heracross looked at the Hitmonlee with great intensity. It was the first time he had seen another fighting type pokemon and he was pumped up. "Now, i guess i have the first move, Heracross, use Aerial Ace!" Heracross nodded, and with a slight push of his foot, he jumped from the pillar and rushed towards the Hitmonlee at a blinding speed. So much so that a White Energy had engulfed him as he prepared his horn for impact.

[Daxter]

Michael grinned. "That's a strong looking Heracross, but it won't be good enough I'm afriad. Go Hitmonlee!" The Hitmonlee launched itself from it's pillar into the air, and spun at amazing speeds and swung it's strongest kick it could aimed right at the face of the now close Heracross. Michael knew his Hitmonlee would far out match the Heracroos, he trained it to be a great match against any Pokemon that got in his way.

Sean was at the bridge as usual fishing at his normal spot. His two Lapras were enjoying themselves in the water. Splashing each other. sigh, It been real quiet lately. Ever since sister left, trainers rarely showup. Maybe they were determined to beat her unbeaten streak He got up and started to move to a different location. "Hey Lapras come over" Both Lapras came over to see what he needed. I'm going over to Bill and see if he needs help with anything, you stay here and try not to get into any trouble." The two nodded and went on playing. Sean went on over to Bill's to see if he finished analyzing the Unknown scriptures.

[Mr. Hyde]

Heracross was whacked in the face by the Hitmonlee's strong attack. Zach knew this wasn't going to be as easy as he hoped it would. 'He's only the first gym leader...he can't be this strong' he thought to himself. Heracross flew straight into a Rock Pillar, making an identation of itself when it smacked against it. Heracross forced himself out of the crater and back onto the pillar. It huffed as it tried to catch it's breath.

"Hera...Heracross.." *Nice kick....* it managed to sputter.

"Heracross, you alright?" Heracross nodded. "Okay then, Let's try another Aerial Ace. Give it your all!" Heracross shot itself from the pillar top, only this time, it shot harder. The White Energy from before had reappeared and surrounded Heracross. At a Mach 1 Speed, he hurtled towards the Hitmonlee.

"Aw man, I could've sworn I had my pokedex in my pocket somewhere. Maybe it's in the hole!" Lucas went to go check inside the hole but to no avail. "My pokedex's not in there either.... Ah darn it!" Just then Lucas noticed a Pigdeotto flying by with a pokedex in its mouth. Lucas' signature could be seen on the pokedex. "Hey that's my pokedex! Elekid, Spring, let's go!" "Elekid! (Right!)" Lucas then ran off with his pokemons towards the direction of the Pigdeotto. "Come back here you!"

See, I just knew it... Let's go then, don't wanna get left behind He thought while smiling.

Spring was following Elekid, who was following Lucas, who was following the Pidgeotto.

So, basically, if we take down the Pigdeotto we won't have to run this fast?

"Qui-Lava!"{Take this, little birdy!}

Quilava launched in the air trying to attack with an Aerial Ace, however, Pidgeotto was already to high.

"Quilava! Quilava!"{Damnit! Ember!}

Quilava's flames grew and 20 little balls of fire were shot towards the Pidgeotto. Only 1 was a direct hit on the right wing, causing the Pidgeotto to slow down a little and decrease in height.

"Quilava."{Booya.}

Even though Spring was quite happy with the hit, the Pidgeotto wasn't down yet.

[Daxter]

Hitmonlee saw Heracroos flying at him once again. *Your really gonna try that again?* Hitmonlee yelled at the Heracross. Hitmonlee did a backflip off of the pillar and landed on the ground behind it so he was well prtected against the Heracross.

 

"Listen Zach!" Michael yelled. "Just cause this is Pewter, doesn't mean you'll have an easy victory against me!" Michael thought this fight was going very well, but he was wondering what was keeping Hitmonchan and Kadabra.

[Mr. Hyde]

Heracross almost hesitated before hitting the rock column until Zach shouted, "Heracross, break that pillar with Megahorn!" Heracross nodded and focused all the White Energy into his horn. Heracross shouted as his glowing horn broke through the Column like butter. Heracross landed with his back facing the Hitmonlee.

*hehehe...yes i am!* Heracross snickered as he launched his next Aerial Ace towards Hitmonlee.

[Daxter]

"Wow, now I have to pay to have one of those put back in!" Michael said. He was kidding of course. He knew those were broken in almost every fight and were easily replaced. "Hitmonlee, use Double Team!" All of the sudden, there were 20 Hitmonlee's and they were all jumping around the stadium trying to confuse the Heracross. *Where did I go?* The real Hitmonlee started to taunt the Heracross. Michael laughed. "Lets see what you do now huh?"

[Mr. Hyde]

Zach smacked his face. "Of course...Double Team...." Heracross laughed at the Hitmonlee. "I prepare for battles like this." Zach said with a sigh.

*Heheheh!* Heracross snickered. Zach flung his hand in the air. Heracross, of course, knew what to do. His fist glew with energy as he punched a pillar. The pillar crumbled into small stones.

"Heracross, Stone Edge!" Heracross's eyes glew for a second. As they did, the stones from the now crumbled pillar sharpenend and flew into the air. Heracross flung them in all different directions as if it was a rock machine gun towards all the Hitmonlee dopplegangers.

[Daxter]

Michael was a little suprised, but he wasn't to worried. "Ok Hitmonlee, you know what to do!" All of the Hitmonlee's stopped jumping around and each waited until the rocks were about to hit them and they used their super strength kicks to break right through the rocks. The downfall was, all of that movement used up alot of energy and the Double Team fell. So now it was back to one Hitmonlee and one Heracross. *Your a good fighter* Hitmonlee said to Heracross. *But I can't fail my friend...so I must end this*

[Mr. Hyde]

Heracross totally knew what the Hitmonlee was feeling. He couldn't fail like Shuckle did...he couldn't let Zach down. *I'm sorry Hitmonlee...but it's not over yet!*. Heracross began to glow all around. Soon the energy surrounded him (ooc: much like in DBZ :D) as Heracross charged towards Hitmonlee with another Aerial Ace. Zach looked at his Heracross with admiration. He couldn't believe the strength that he was showing.

[Daxter]

As the Heracross got closer, Hitmonless and Michael both realized that this fight couldn't go on much longer, someone was gonna get hurt. But Hitmonlee didn't want to give up, he felt like he couldn't fail Michael. Hitmonlee braced itself and waited until Heracross was right at him, and thats when he sprung into action. "Go Hitmonlee! Now!" Hitmonlee knew what to do. It did a small jump above Heracross and grabbed his horns while doing a backflip and threw Heracross across the Stadium.

[Mr. Hyde]

The last thing Heracross remembered was that he was charging towards Hitmonlee. The next thing he knew, he was flying through the air. Before hitting another column, Heracross looked at the Hitmonlee. *how....* he said flying straight through a Pillar. Zach saw Heracross.

"Heracross, c'mon, you're better than this." Heracross stood back up. But something was different. Heracross felt the beating hearts of one-thousand insects in his veins. One of them being Shuckle. Zach knew what was happening. It was Heracrosses "Swarm" ability. Heracross huffed...and with each huff, became slightly stronger. The energy that had spun around him before was now larger. Heracross gave another huff. He was at his maximum power. He held his hand towards Hitmonlee, and motioned his claws towards him.

*Bring it!* he told the Hitmonlee.

[Daxter]

Michael and Hitmonlee were shocked at what they were seeing. "Hitmonlee, can you keep going?" The Hitmonlee was very weak and was stumbling, it looked back to Michael and gave it's version of a thumbs-up. "Ok, be careful." Hitmonlee stood there and got into a fighting stance, waiting for the perfect moment to laung an attack at Heracross, he didn't know how much longer he could go on. *Ok Heracross, lets end this!*

[Mr. Hyde]

Heracross crossed his arms. *Hmph...I don't know Hitmonlee...Whatever i do, you seem to counter it with a swift kick of the leg...* The Energy that swarmed around Heracross grew larger. *But i wonder what i can do at max power...* he smirked. Zach knew it was time to make a move.

"Heracross, let's finish this. Give it all you got with a Megahorn!" Heracross gathered all of that energy into his horn. The power of 1000 insects was unbelievable. Heracross dashed towards Hitmonlee with this new power.
