Bi-Polar Disorder

Hollow Ichigo!

Recommended Posts

So I found out recently that I am Bi-Polar. For all of you that don't know what that is, it is when Someone could be happy for one minute and any other emotion the next. I was just curious if anyone else on YCM is bi-Polar? If you are or know someone that is just post an experience you have had.

Bipolar disorder doesn't manifest in minutes, the manic turns happen two/three times per year at most and last months, not days, unless you have ultra-rapid cycling.

What you're most likely suffering from is Teenage Behaviour Disorder, in which case I'm sure 90% of this forum can relate.

Okay, seriously, I've only had one semester of intro psych, and it spent only about a week and a half on all disorders combined, and I can still tell that that's complete nonsense.

Maybe that was simply the best way he could phrase it?

You're not all that smart yourself.

Considering that it is completely and objectively wrong in every way and even provides specific unnecessary details that only serve to exacerbate the wrongness' date=' no, I don't think it was a phrasing issue. I think it was a stupidity issue.

lolololololo =D

But one question, did you get it diagnosed by a doctor or made it by checking symptoms yourself? Because many people change from one minute to another, called mood swings. It can annoying and hard to handle IRL but it's not changing from utterly maniac to utterly despressed for longer periods of time which is bi-polar disorder.

If MarbleZone is right, then lucky for you. If you're really bi-polar, good luck!

My Boyfriend is Bi-Polar, but he has it well controlled with meds, has half his life. He has had a few really low moments one of which had him in hospital for atleast a month last year, but he has it under control and his doctor believes I'm helping him alot with it.

One English teacher at my school is medically bi-polar...

She's also angry 99.99999% of the day. If you happen to be in the class when she's nice for 2 seconds consider yourself lucky.

Or she could be like my teacher and be 100% angry of the day, and not be bi-polar but-

You know, scratch that. Good luck with your teacher.

^Exactly, people say it coz they think its cool. Isn't that what most people want to be?

I did a slight lapse, when my boyfriend forgot his tablets, he was down (more down if it had been more than just 3 missed days). Another thing that sort of triggers it for him a little is when the doctors don't think he's doing as well as he should be.

I probably see barely anything, probably because he doesn't want me to see it.

The singer Emilie Autumn is supposed to be "bi-polar". I'm pretty sure that she's depressive in some way and has issues with some people but all her songs are about me me me and myself.

And I thought most people who have an illness of some sort try to hide it most of the time instead of shouting it around... Well I guess most of them do but I'm critical about many singers who are supposed to be "bi-polar".
