Edit: I think it would make more sense to have the leaders of the supporting factions be the same rank as members of the leading faction, but that's just me. I know, but he can't twist pure facts and records. At the most, we can beat him and move on. At the worst it doesn't work. About Rankings: Those are stupid. I don't care what anyone says, those things are more trouble then they are worth. Everyone gets pissy over how they didn't get the ranking they wanted. And we all know how that ends. So if rankings make it into the RP, I'm not joining for sure. We saw how that went in the second war RP, and I'm sure it'll just go like that again. About Shapeshifting: Without it, I'm dead. A lot of us are.That's all I am. Saint Dane is nothing without shapeshifting. He can't worm his way into anything. I would be similarly injured, as I wouldn't actually be able to fight. Dane himself can, but he's not meant to. He's a Traveler, not a warrior. I think it should be included, but you all seem to have it sorted.Basic things like no shifting every post, middle of fights are no-gos, that kind of stuff. Someone needs to put them in their place of they get out of hand, after all. I am thinking of having my character enlist the descendant of Samus Aran from a previous rp that I made be a B or A rank merc that is tasked by him with the mission of killing Striker and bringing his head to Powerforce on a Pike. There was a lot of complaining about it in the last war, and in the one before that, you had people absorbing other peoples power right after they were killed just so they could rank up. Avoiding both of those would be nice, I think. And I'm not really 'in charge' of much of anything Ice. More like I have become the inadvertent architect who is willing to listen to and implement the ideas of others, mostly because I know that you guys are liable to come up with better ideas then me. lol By the way Nex, are you going to be bringing out your water gun that induces fear of water from the first war? :D @Black: It's an rp character that I had black, one that I would like to see in the war. And being that I am not going to be shapeshiting into a girl character...yeah....=_= @Dane: Agreed. That was why I was wanting to limit the number of shapeshifts made in a battle. Descendants of Canon characters are fairly stupid and unoriginal, in general. I've seen exceptions, though, and I remember yours was NOT one. Samus does not exist in this universe. To be fair shape-shifters should have their own set restrictions and limits. For example, my character practices flash-shifting. Basically he can shift into any form instantly for only a fraction of the cost, but the form's power and durability is also dropped to a fraction of what it should be. This allows me to use forms to test the enemy, then once they've picked a strategy, I switch to counter. Of course, once I make an actual decision I can't revert. So yeah... Basically if someone is a shape-shifter, they should be smart enough to have their own restrictions. Power is going to go by the "everyone can feasibly kill anyone if they rp it well" This in theory is abusable but in practice it boils down to rp battles lasting until someone slips up and pisses off a leader with godmodding and is banned and thus killed. So yeah, it works. Also it seems unfair that someone with actual skill would be inferior to someone who simply has some leaders good graces. Shapeshifting was Rp 8.20 thing and I think it should be reserved as such. Sorry Fen and Broken but shapeshifting is abusable even without being able to use it mid post. Hell, we could even go with the Trio of DEF thing and have people able to be members of multiple factions at once, but something tells me that that would cause to much trouble.
