Billions of years ago an alien race travelled to Earth. At this time, the aliens was roughly as technically advanced as humans, except that they had achieved spaceflight, and Earth was still a gigantic wasteland of sand and water. As an experiment, the aliens placed unicellular organisms in the water and then studied how life would evolve on another than their own, and if the organisms would evolve the same way as they did. After million years of evolution, the aliens realized that evolution on Earth had taken a very unsatisfactionary route when the dinosaurs ruled. Knowing that the reptiles wouldn't be able to evolve into civilized creatures the aliens erradicated them. When mammals started to grow and get smarter, the aliens were satisfied. When humans had evolved enough, and appeared as they do today physically, the aliens landed on the planet for the first time since they planted the organisms. The humans saw the aliens as gods, and the aliens acted as such. For many years the aliens acted as advisors for the humans, and with the aliens' help humanity created civilization. lol Yiliaster?
