The measurements are wrong, the text is over-emphasized, the corners of the render look awkward and the backround is bad especially since the colors don't match the render. Also, the card zones aren't supposed to look exactly like the backs of the cards. They don't have the Yu-Gi-Oh logo nor the Konami logo.

The points at which the render cuts off look weird to me.

You could probably get good card back templates from old Starter Deck playmats.

Out of interest' date=' where'd you get the render? Or image to render from?

For the best YGO renders PM Yin 2000 points for a pass to her PB....

OT: You could've done so much more with the BG...A forest pic with some blending would've been nice.

I agree.

Anyway, the effects on this lack the "wow factor" provided with YGO playmats.

I can't even understand what part of these actually are 'art' =/

Make a canvas' date=' some random gradient as BG, paste in a render, then the card's back, recolor them and position, add some text, done.

The borrowed stuff, I guess? It's why I don't use pre-made art for my stuff unless it's pop culture or a joke.

So where can i get drawn forest? I couldn't find one on google

Even if you just use Filter-Artistic-Cutout' date=' Just do something to make it less realistic.

That is also possible.

As for the foliage effect, there are some leaf-shaped brushes in Photoshop that have a high scatter and rotation rates that toss leaves all over the place facing different directions. Go over the options and mess around with the brushes.

Eh, I think the forest needs to be made a bit bluer and then darkened so that it doesn't blow away the Gigaplant with its brightness. Also, the Gigaplant's presence on the mat could be expanded, enlarged maybe moved slightly to the left to help hide the sheer edges from the card frame.
