Gemknight Obsidius

Fiend

Born from the fall of a friend, it fights for revenge. Not recognized by its companions, it stands next to them as a new member crushing its enemies with the Obsidian's power.

ATK/ 2400 DEF/ 1600

This is my first official Vanilla ^^

 

 

Gemknight Hemato

Fiend / Fusion / Effect

"Gemknight Obsidius" + 1 "Gemknight" monster.

This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck except by Fusion Summon and only with the above Fusion Material Monsters. When this card is Summoned destroy 1 card on the field. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Gemknight" monster from your hand and discard 1 card from your hand. You can add 1 "Gemknight" monster from your hand to the Deck to increase the ATK of all face-up "Gemknught" monsters by 300.

ATK/ 3000 DEF/ 2600

Gem Possession

Trap Card

Activate only when a "Gemknight" monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Gemknight" monster from your hand or Deck. Then, send 1 card your opponent controls to the Graveyard.

D: There's Card Grammar errors here, and your contest cards don't have any? Hahaha, jk. Maybe you were in a rush, nice concept but it's too early too critique unless you post more cards :P

 

I'd really like to see what the Gemknights are about.

Guess who runs Gemknights?

 

Possession probably wouldn't see any play. Cards with that opening clause usually don't, because it pretty much protects a Gemknight and kills 1 card.

Guess what D-Prison does, except RFGing it and working in other situations?

I understand this works with card effects but... I don't see it as worth it.

 

You'd generally not want to draw the normal, but I'd expect to tech 1/2 for Recis/Alex, but mainly since the Fusion is good.

The only effect I'd really want from the Fusion is the destruction, but that's good enough since Gemknights can easily lack it.

 

tl;dr: Giving Gemknights a destruction effect was good.

Gemknights were desperately in need of destruction effects. As Griffi said, maybe not much playability for Possesion as there are plenty of other better cards to use. Good though.

@Gemknight Obsidius: Well artwork is good, i like the fact that its Fiend and EARTH. Maybe increase the Level a bit +1. Also you can add a 100 to the ATK if you like, it keeps in nice and balanced specially when its a vanilla, which reminds me why i love them so much.

 

@Gemknight Hemato: As for him, the artwork is okay, but the image needs adjusting. Also when i read the 1st sentence of the effect i realized it was not right so am fixing it...

 

OCG Fix: "Gemknight Obsidius" + 1 "Gemknight" monster.

This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by a Fusion Summon. When this card is Summoned destroy 1 card on the field. Once per turn, by discarding 1 card from your hand, you can Special Summon 1 "Gemknight" monster from your hand.
