In the first post (and many subsequent post of Crab's), she explicitly stated that she was, in fact, a girl. Towards the end of the thread, Crab even confirms the truth that she is a girl, so there is no reason why anyone should think she is a guy, regardless that the thread was a troll.

 

But yes, the thread was a troll outside of that minor fact.

 

As for proof on both of those, I present these three posts from the aforementioned thread.

I'm amazed anyone took this at all seriously. The reference to my departure involved me leaving forever for the third time; I acted as if me making fun of Pichu's terrible stories and Pichu ripping off Foe Fiction was some sort of loving relationship; I claimed that Pichu ripping off Phantom's Divinations was some sort of heartbreaking abandonment; I frequently just directly insulted Pichu and his writing ability; and I closed with a quote from Blade Runner. Yet some people still think this is an apology and I'm leaving. >_< Idiots!

Me being female was just about the only true part of that thread. (Well, that and the part about Pichu plagiarizing.)

 

I started on GameFAQs, which on some boards at the time had a strong There Are No Girls On The Internet mentality, assuming that all girls were actually guys, so to avoid that sort of hassle, I simply pretended to be male - which really isn't hard at all, since while girls are oft suspected of being guys (sometimes correctly, as with Tea Leaf, other times incorrectly), nobody ever suspects that someone claiming to be male is actually female. So I continued playing the same part when I came to YCM. And now I've stopped playing that part. That's all there is to it.
