Why are there so many rude people on here?

First of all, just because someone makes a bad Yu-gi-oh card doesn't make that a sign of low intelligence. Thinking that is a sign of low intelligence, because making Yu-gi-oh cards is not life. I'd rather base intelligence on common sense and academic ability.

 

2nd, I said I haven't encountered as many rude people on other forums as I do on here. Not that I never encounter rude people at all on other forums.

 

3rd, I've heard even dumber ideas. If a forum used by established screenwriters has a topic that allows review exchanges, why does it suddenly become stupid to bring the idea to this forum? It's not like I suggested something completely ludicrous.

 

And finally, it's not like I feel bad that people are making fun of me. I'm just surprised to see so much of it, that's all. Just to make things clear.

I know more than most seniors in my school even though I get borderline passing grades. Good cards mean you are creative, that's mainly why fake types and bad cards with bad effects and pics are often frowned upon and their creators are flamed.[/b]

You will have to deal with jackasses all your life everywhere you go, this site just seems to have a higher jackass count than other sites. I'm not saying that all tough reviewers are jackasses, I'm just saying that they are everywhere.

You are supposed to base intelligence on common sense and academic ability; who told you otherwise?

 

However, this is the internet. Finding people who are actually "intelligent" is a rare and daunting task, and you shouldn't torture yourself finding these people. There are very few, and very spread out.

 

On the original topic, you'll see rude people everywhere. Ignore them and move on; get over it; whatever. Just because you meet rude people on the internet doesn't mean they are stupid or immature irl.

Is that our problem? Maybe you have only been on forums that incidentally don't have rude people. This a big forum with a bunch of members, so the chance of you finding a rude person is heightened.

You shouldn't feel bad; half of them are trolls and some are in it for +1 and others just lost control and others actually give valid criticism/posts. It's a big forum; you will see more of everything.

 

Just because it's reality doesn't mean it can/has to be said.

Sorry for the lateness, but heres a perfect example of one of these people. They think they're smart, but they cant even form litterate sentences. Those stars must get to these guys heads. Let me explain to you how I deal with things. I will never come off to someone as rude (except Icyblue, I admit I was rude to him), but it is their first reaction that leads to my next. I told you what happens when you post your cards, you called everyone rude. In what world is someone's helping considered rude? In fact, I believe that is rude. Sorry, but no one gets worked up over the cards, just the lame users who compain about everything. If you think we're rude, then feel free to leave. No one is stopping you.

I really don't know what kind of forums you've visited prior to this one. This one is actually one of the tamer ones, mostly due to users like you who are aghast at finding out that people insult one another on the internet.

Hes just complaining cause people act rediculous when you dont capitalize life points. People have the freedom to make crappy cards. They also have the freedom to not care about your criticism. Why cant people just be more understanding. You didnt know how to make cards at some point.

You click Card Maker, enter some text and click Generate. It's not that hard. :/

 

And it's not the fact they have 'freedom', it's the fact they don't take advice and completely shun everyone's criticism. Thus, they continually make bad cards and people progressively get more pissed at them.

I knew how to make cards before I got here. So, yes, there was a point that I didn't know how to make cards, but I wasn't making cards then. And if you post a card, it's an open invitation for it to be critiqued, criticized, and generally ripped a new one. It is through our failures that we are made stronger. If you're never told you failed, then you'll keep on failing.

I've been on several forums' date=' and I've never encountered more rude people anywhere than i do here. I mean, these people are just outwardly insulting towards others just for the hell of it. And it's even funnier when you realize that these people are getting worked up over...Yu-Gi-Oh cards?!! It's a freaking kid's card game. People are just doing it for fun. When a newbie posts a card or idea, and everyone starts bashing him, calling him an epic fail, that's just really sad, and I pity everyone on here who does that. How old are most people on this board, just curious, because the attitude is so infantile I can't even believe it myself. Sorry if I've offended anyone, I had to get that off my chest.

More than half of them are immature. I've been on this site since January of 2008. I've put up with idiots for 2 and a half years now, and honestly you grow used to it.

 

These are just kids, who think that just because they can have friends on an internet forum, or make somewhat decent cards, that they are for whatever reason better than the members who don't yet. The members need an attitude adjustment, but it won't happen. Its been that way since long before I came to this site.
