I recently burnt myself while removing a tray from the oven.

My hand has a nice burn wound on it now.

 

As soon as I got it, I was like "Oh something to post on YCM!",

well it was really "OUCH!" then quickly ran to smother my hand in ice coobs.

 

To also ignore the debate on the new forum, lets get back to business

and talk about any burns/ injuries from cooking or messing

with fire, as you usually do ;)

I'm something of a pyromaniac. I bought myself a zippo windproof lighter and was lighting it for fun when I held it too close to my face and the tip of the flame touched my nose and I think the inside of my nose got burned cuz it hurt for a couple of days. Yeah, I'm an idiot :lol:

No it only touched it for like half a second, so my nose was just really sore for a little while and then it went away.

 

When I was a little kid I also directly touched a chiminea (is that the word for mini outdoor fireplace?) because I wanted to see if it was hot. It was.

Those Japanese hot pots, and those 'don' iron pots...really hurt.

 

Especially since all the rice is stuck and you have to use a lot of force to get it out...while touching the hot parts.

Talking of hot pots.

I remember going to an Indian resturant and leaning over the table, accidentally placing my arm on top of a red hot metal tray.

 

The burn looked like a racing car :D

I get burned rarely, but sometimes I touch fire and hot spots with no reason

I've never been burned badly before. I'm lucky, or too careful.

When I was a kid, there was a blackout, so my mom lit candles. I was interested in the fire, but she said not to touch it. So I kept crying. SO hten she let me touch the candle fire and it burned my hand and I cried. I got pwned. That's what my mom told me.

I'm going to make this in Lego because it's awesome. I'm also considering making a plush toy of him using basic stitching knowledge.

When I was working at KFC I went to go put something into the deep fryer and I didn't notice that the bottom plate wasn't on it so it started sinking and I panicked and tried to grab it but I dipped my hand in the deep fryer in the process. =/

Foods nice, but staff hours are long and boring.

i get burned a lot. once on a flat portable girdle. all down my right forearm. someone left a spatula on a different really big portable griddle. i grabbed the spatula and it molded in the shape of my hand. with burning plastic on my hands.

I've gotten some burns from touching hot pans, but the only serious burn I've ever gotten happened when I dropped spaghetti sauce on my legs. ><

Got my thumb burnt when I was lighting a firework. But it wasn't serious, only a blister. So yeah.Did I mention that it was a little windy and I was using storm matches (those f***ers who won't go out until they burn to the specific point)?

one of my friends said it would be impossible to burn yourself by rubbing your hands together...i did it, and he was wrong
