The Dark Devourer

255616.jpg

Effect

1 DARK Tuner monster + 2 or more DARK non-Tuner monsters

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can send up to 2 DARK monsters in your hand to the Graveyard to send the same amount of DARK monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard. Once per turn, you can remove from play 2 DARK monsters in your Graveyard to destroy all face-down cards your opponent controls. If this card is targeted or this card's effect is chained to, you can remove from play 1 DARK monster to negate all cards in the same chain as this card and destroy them.

He's gonna eat through the light which is Starlight Road! :3

But CnC please! ^^

Oh, and image credit is to someone called Jazin Kay or something like that >< I forget.

Did you just fart?

Cos you blew me away. :)

Seriously, the card is amazing, I was expecting a lot different from your first. <_<

Amazing, it's hard to believe you've done this on your own ...

That first statement was a rude thing to say to a lady D:

But thankies. ^^ I've had a lot of practice and I've been looking around the site for a while now! I guess that explains it? Haha! ^^

Your OCG and general skills are incredible for a new member, but I would say that the last effect is somewhat overpowered, since complete chain negation seems a little too much for a Level 8 with minimal restrictions. You might want to change it just when it's targeted.

Thankies ^^

I don't see how the last effect is overpowered really. It's a Level 9 that requires a little bit of dedication to get out, unless you're using something utterly broken like Infernities ><

I could say you're a double. Well, I may be terribly wrong. But 99.999999999% of the newbies have names like superpowerdragonslayer_239412 and make terrible cards. You could be this 00,00000000001%. If so, congrats. You're awesome.

Because this card is amazing. I couldn't have made better. And I'm a long timer here. Eventhought my posts contradict me.

EDIT: I + Repp'd you. For the great card :)

If you say I'm a double, I'd be pretty angry. I hate false accusations! ><;;

It's amazing? Seriously? ^^

First effect is just great for dumping DARK's in the graveyard, since most DARK decks use the graveyard. Then, the follow up effect works great with the first effect of milling, removing from play 2 DARK's in the Grave to nuke your opponent's field of all set monsters that may scare you a bit. Then, you can remove from play 2 more to negate all cards that was in the same chain as this card, like you have said, it's like a 'Screw You' to Starlight Road. I think this could work against Stardust Dragon as well. This is a superb card for a first card and for a new member., BUT has a smidge of OP'd to it 9.9/10. Great job.

Gah! I was fearing that I made it OPed ><;; Awwh well... Nothing's perfect, I guess.

But thank you everyone for the comments, and thank you Anbu for such a great critique. ^^

Feels just as overpowered as any other Synchro should be like.

I think it's fine, since Synchro monsters are broken as hell anyway.

Hence why I don't like them.

Synchro Monsters aren't broken at all, so I don't get your logic.

You don't like them because it's a change to the game and you was fine with it before, actually. Just like half of the other players who ragequitted because of such a stupid reason.

But thankies, I guess?

I dont think its OPed. I mean its 9 stars. If they get three monsters on the field and they all have exactly 9 stars then they deserve to bring that out. Fissure will destroy it. You can brain and mind it. Not that bad. I personally wouldnt use it, but thats just me.

And at the new part. You have experience obviously and you dont get that without having experience haha. Im not acusing of doubling, im just saying that you've done this before. I critic 5 star members OCG alot, and half the time its wrong. So somethings up *looks suspiciously* haha

Synchro monsters completely changed YGO, and how it was played before.

They are extremely difficult to destroy or RFP or whatever with the cards from before, hence why Konami needed to make many anti-Synchro cards.

They're not "broken" anymore since people have somewhat accommodated to them, but for people who haven't properly done so (like me), they don't enjoy fighting against them.

So yes, I agree that I don't like them because they're a (major) change to the game, but that did not make me ragequit, though.

Most people ragequitted during that short time where they truly were overpowered like hell (roughly around when they just came into circulation). It's not as bad now.

Yes it was. At the beginning, it was a rather good change and it still is.

Errr... Dimensional Prison, Torrential Tribute, Bottomless Trap Hole, Icarus Attack, Solemn Judgement, Judgement of Thunder, Dark Core, Raigeki Break. I could go on, but I don't really want to prove someone wrong at 9AM in the morning ~_~;;

They never where "broken". With so little Synchros, there was also little Tuners. They were difficult to bring out because of the lack of Tuners, but your patience would be rewarded if you could get them out.

Eh... I guess so, but still.

They never were broken as I said before and blablabla. It's still the same now, except you barely have to wait any more and the Synchros have been tuned down.
