Scrap Fusion

Recommended Posts

Reliant on your opponent running Fusions. The best things you'll probably be able to do with this are:

• Fuse out an Elemental Hero (since they'll most likely have Material for at least one monster in their Graveyard.

• Set this on the first turn. During your opponent's turn, if they use Future Fusion and ditch five dragons, then, right before the Main Phase ends or before they use Dragon's Mirror, summon their Five-Headed

Dragon.

• Set this on your first turn. During your opponent's turn, if they use Future Fusion and ditch ten Machines and then use Overload Fusion, you use this to stop their Chimeratech Overdragon OTK. Then again, Effect

Veiler could do that.

• Use their two Cyber Dragons for Cyber End Dragon if they have it. Then again, if they aren't using a Power Bond or Polymerization card in their deck, then why would they be using Cyber Twin Dragon?

• Scrap Fuse out Naturia Exterio?

E-Hero side for mirror?

Why do E-Heros need to use this for a side? Why mirror match? You summon from your Opponent's Extra Deck, not your own.

Since the Extra Deck isn't public knowledge, I guess this card would first have to let you see it to know if there are any Fusions in it that have their Material in the graveyard, so at least it would let you look at your opponent's Extra Deck if anything.

Yeah, I thought it was from your own.

Eh, side vs... random stuff that run Fusions? Don't like it.

This card would be replay city, because you don't know if your opponent has fusions. Would have been good back in the day when people ran fusions a lot (and even then they were often bad ones). I could see this as an anti-chimeratech card or something. Only really playable if you know what your opponent has already.

This would be hilarious if they printed this.

What makes this card "balanced" is that its completly(?) luck based.

As I'm assuming theres a bogus ruling behind it where if you cant fusion summon anything, the card simply 'disappears'

I would assume so. Doesn't that happen with other Fusion cards?

Imagine if this card got this effect:

You can reveal this card in your hand to look at the opponent's extra deck. If you do, it stays revealed until your next turn, and you cannot use or set this card or activate "Scrap fusion" until your next turn.

That would help take the luck out of it but gives your opponent time to plan against it if possible. Broken though? Maybe make it wait longer?
