I need help with what cards to take out and what cards to put in, I'm aiming for a Synchro based deck.

first of all reduce the size of the deck to 40, also don't aim to make highlander decks (decks that have 1 copy of each card) also if this is an advanced format deck, remove brain control and premature burial because they are forbidden (you can't use them in your deck) and maybe replace the premature burial with monster reborn. that's all i can say

I think what's happened is he's bought a starter deck or 2 and bought a few packs/got given some cards, and is doing the best with what he currently has. You need to sink a bit more cash into the game and make informed decisions on what cards/packs/decks to get.
