J-Max

Afternoon YCM. Here is today's card in the growing J-Max Quickie Set :D Today's card focuses on the Synchro concept and I had a lot of fun with this effect ;)

2 Tuners + 1 or more non-Tuner Spellcaster or Plant-Type monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, you can increase or decrease the Level of face-up monsters you control by an amount equal to the number of cards in your hand. This card is also treated as Plant-Type. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all face-up Spellcaster & Plant-Type monsters on the field can be used as Tuners for a Synchro Summon. A player that uses this effect must remove the cards used for a Synchro Summon from play. When this card is removed from the field, you can Tribute 1 Level 7 or higher monster you control to Special Summon it from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position.

Ehh... I like the cards whole conept , but from my nooby rating this is what I feel.

I honestly, See the point in the card but I can't help but think this is some what overpowered, I mean if you have two monsters on your field with this card, and with the effect theres a most likely change you can automaticaly synchro, enless you have only like 1 - 2 cards in your hand. Plus it can also be brought back from the graveyard.

I'd say a little OP'd, but I could see this limited to like 1 a deck, to even it out abit.

I would use this card in my Plant/Spellcaster deck no problem at all, get the best of both worlds:

I personaly like the card. :]

my Plant/Spellcaster deck

Decklist? I'd like to see that.

Good card is good...perhaps too good...Plants do not need any help Synchroing, but honestly, the RFP is likely to backfire on them since they do so much SS from the Graveyard. But this gives them a LOT of options. There's a good chance that you could even pull Scar-Red Nova Dragon with this.

As for Spellcasters, I haven't seen a Spellcaster deck in, like, six months, so I have no idea how to look at that.

Also, it should be noted her last effect infinite-loops with herself. If you Synchro with an leveled-down Eristos for an Eristos, you can abuse the hell out of cards that do something whenever a monster is Summoned.

"increase or decrease" not "upgrade or downgrade" and also "This card is also treated as a Plant-Type monster" not "This card is treated as Plant-Type".

It's better than your last quickies, yes, but it's far from perfect. A tad overpowered certainly. Pic is mediocre. Nice name.

6.7/10.

Instead of upgrade and downgrade you can use increase and decrease. makes more sense that way.
so you can use his first effect only one time? since you can only synchro summon once i think...

to make him more powerful >:D
"If this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of face-up monsters you control by an amount equal to the number of cards in your hand."

that or i would make it possible to choose the monster that you want to decrease or increase their level. But that might be too powerful :/

Everything else is pretty good, so I just wanna break down the effect some.

When this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, you can Upgrade or Downgade the Level of face-up monsters you control by an amount equal to the number of cards in your hand. It has already been pointed out, but Upgrade or Downgrade should be increase or decrease. Other than that, this effect is fine IMO because it relies on the cards in your hand and also to an extent what cards you have on the field. By that I mean you can't have 4 cards in your hand and expect a LV2 monster to become LV-2, just doesn't work.

This card is also treated as Plant-Type. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all face-up Spellcaster & Plant-Type monsters on the field can be used as Tuners for a Synchro Summon. A player that uses this effect must remove the cards used for a Synchro Summon from play. I have no problem with this card being treated as a plant. However, I think there is a better, less confusing and more balanced way to do the next 2 effects. Here goes: Once per turn you can remove from play 1 monster in Graveyard to select 1 Spellcaster or Plant-type monster on your side of the field. That monster is treated as a Tuner until the End Phase of this turn.

When this card is removed from the field, you can Tribute 1 monster you control to Special Summon it from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position.
I think this needs a stipulation. Here goes: When this card is removed from the field, you can tribute 1 level 7 or higher monster you control to Special Summon it from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position.

Other than that, pic looks alright, stats are fine, seems like a decent LV7 Double Tuner. Cool Quickie overall.
