Dark†saint
In 1819 the 17th of September the first whaling ship arrived in Hawaii. Whaling is a brutal form of hunting that is used to produce meat as food and oil for cash. The earliest forms of whaling date back to 3,000 BC. As we have technologically advanced in the years and demand for the resources remained sky high catches far exceeded the carrying capacity of whale stocks. [s]But more to the point, we all know why the worlds biggest whale killers do it, they have photgraphic evidence that they did it, the Japanese know that the whales dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. /South Park. [/s] So yeah, I'm not going to give some long winded explanation of why people do it and the entire history of whaling and cross reference it with sources to make sure its all correct when I know none of you are going to read it all. I'll simply leave it at this; discuss whaling, is it right in your opinion, are thousands of whales being killed across the globe on a daily bases satisfy your hunger and oil needs? (Although whaling is used for oil very little these days) Or do you completely disagree with the concept, living beings are living beings, how could anyone think putting a race to it's death be worth your taste? Discuss whaling.
Icy
Lol... One of my least favorite aspects of History class. But a wonderful thing? You can see Humpbacks off the Hilo Coast and Kona Coast normally. It's quite a sight to see and I used to love watching them while I was at the various beaches along those stretches. Especially at Richardsons while I cruise along the shore wall, looking at the Opihi. Oh and don't do it >_>" never participate in Whaling.
Βyakuya
They even do a show on it. Well it's illegal in some countries I think, but for the sakes of some, the Japanese have grown even more hungry for food. And now, dolphins will be next...
