Swarm Time

Recommended Posts

Damn my sister. I had this entire set completed, I have to and leave the computer, and she sneaks on, gets out of this, deletes my backup, and then starts MSN messenger, after I specifically told her not to exit it.

Here's the monsters...

(A note: When you activate the effect: "Tribute this card, along with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to"- BOTH of the "Swarm" monsters' tribute effects activate.)

Swarm Master Azrael

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, add 1 "Swarm" monster from your deck to your hand. Tribute this card, with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to destroy 1 monster on your opponents' side of the field.

1200/1000

(The searcher of the group. Plus he allows you to wipe a monster when you're getting another effect.)

Swarm Master Kha K'hi K'hai

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, randomly add 1 card from your graveyard to your hand. Tribute this card, with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to add 5 cards from your graveyard to your deck. Your deck is then shuffled.

1500/1200

(If you can play this deck well you will eat through it like a virus. You're really going to want stuff that fattens the deck.)

Swarm Master Canfiasto

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, look at one card in your opponents' hand. Tribute this card, with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to look at your opponents' hand, then discard 1 card from it to the graveyard.

1000/1000

(Confiscation, anyone? Knowledge is power, isn't it?)

Swarm Master Gradiu

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, draw 1 card. Tribute this card, along with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to draw 2 cards.

800/1300

(It might not look very good but this thing is a beast. Tribute this with Azrael and you get a Pot of Greed plus an Exiled Force.)

Swarm Master Chariaout

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, look at the top card of your deck. Tribute this card, with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to look at the top 5 cards of your deck, and rearrange it in any order.

1500/1400

(The worst of them. By far. Still, glorious card to draw in the very late endgame, when five cards is all you have. Also fantastic with Gradiu, which basically allows you to pick what 2 cards of the top 5 you want to draw...)

Swarm Master Botarmo

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, add the bottom card of your deck to your hand. Tribute this card, with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to add the bottom 2 cards of your deck to your hand.

700/1200

(The most broken. Getting 3 cards from the deck, no matter where from, is good... Cards on the bottom of the deck are a lot easier to get there. You could tech this card into some hybrid DDT mix...)

Swarm Master Vampairaq

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, look at the top card of your opponents' deck. Tribute this card, with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to discard the top 3 cards of your opponents' deck to the graveyard.

1300/1200

(Solid deck discard for a secondary effect. Also good to know what your opponents' got coming...)

Swarm Master Arkan

****

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, look at one face-down card on the field, then return it to the field in the same position. Tribute this card, with another face-up "Swarm" monster, to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field. Face-down cards cannot be activated in response to this cards' effect.

1300/1000

(Unchainable Yaichi? YES PLEASE. Also "A Man with Wdjat" primary effect.

Support cards coming soon.

Support Cards

OverSwarm

Trap

Activate this card only when you take Battle Damage. Special Summon all monster cards in your hand with less attack points than the damage you have just taken. After this cards' effect has resolved, discard all remaining cards in your hand to the graveyard.

(THIS is how you get them out. This is why you'd want 3 Azrael in the deck).

UnderSwarm

Trap

Activate this card only when your opponent Normal or Flip Summons a monster. Special Summon all monster cards in your hand with less attack points than the attack points of the summoned monster. After this cards' effect has resolved, discard all remaining cards in your hand to the graveyard.

(Another way to get them out. I couldn't make it Special Summon else this would make Cyber Dragon HURT.)

Swarm Switch

Normal Spell

Select 1 monster on your opponents' side of the field to activate this cards' effect. When you resolve a monster effect that requires a tribute of a face-up "Swarm" monster, you may use the selected monster in its' place. You cannot enter your Battle Phase during the turn that this card is activated.

(Works brilliantly with Azrael, where you get to wipe 2 opponents' monsters in exchange for not entering your battle phase. Good tradeoff.)

Swarm Shield

Trap

Activate this card only when you have 3 or more monsters on your side of the field, and your opponent declares an attack. Select and resolve one of the following effects:

1) Destroy all attack position monsters on your opponents' side of the field.

2) Destroy all defense position monsters on your opponents' side of the field.

3) Destroy all face-down monsters on your opponents' side of the field.

4) Destroy all face-up monsters on the field.

(This card is Mirror Force, Dark Mirror Force, some demented reverse Lightning Vortex and a half-ish Dark Hole in one. Good.)

Swarm Guard

Trap

Your opponent draws 1 card. Until the End Phase of the current turn, cards on your side of the field cannot be destroyed by card effects.

(A bit of protection. The opponent drawing was a sad necessity.)

Swarm Formation

Trap

Activate this card only when a monster on your side of the field is destroyed as a result of battle. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Swarm" monster from your deck or hand to the field.

(Hero/Destiny Signal for the Swarmers. You get their primary effects with this too. Cool.)

Swarm Pain

Normal Spell

Inflict 400 points of Direct Damage to your opponents' Life Points for each "Swarm" monster in your graveyard.

(The effects have been used, you've shuffled them back, used them again, and now its' time to make the opponent hurt.)

Swarm Superiority

Continuous Spell

Each time a monster with "Swarm" in its' name deals Battle Damage to your opponent, randomly discard 1 card from your opponents' hand to the graveyard.

(Hand disruption. If you get in three direct attacks with these guys, your opponent will be able to do very little to stop you from repeating the feat).

Swarm Mastermind

Normal Spell

Destroy an amount of Spell or Trap card(s) on the field up to the number of face-up "Swarm" monsters on the field.

(The Swarmers need a clear goal to be able to work. This is R-Righteous Justice for a deck DESIGNED to get stuff on the field, fast.

Swarm Spirit

Continuous Spell

All cards that were tributed to as a result of a monster effect may be Special Summoned to their respective side of the field during the End Phase after the turn they were tributed. Each time a monster is Special Summoned by this cards' effect, the monsters' owner takes 400 points of damage.

(Absolutely lethal in this deck. Horrible to face. Considering its' Special Summoned, their primary effects do trigger, making this all the more deadly.)

Swarm Boom

Trap

Activate only when you have 2 or more face-up "Swarm" monster(s) on the field. Destroy all monsters on the field.

(Field Clearance.)

MONSTER SUPPORT

Swarm King Thastaol

*****

You may activate this cards' effect during your Draw Phase. If the card you drew was a monster with "Swarm" in the title, immediately Special Summon it to the field. If not, the drawn card is sent to the bottom of your deck, and you take 500 points of Direct Damage.

2000/1200

(Even the downside to this card isn't much of a downside. Botarmo's summon will get what you sent no problems. This also meshes fantastically with Chariaout, as in, gives him a reason to be played.

Swarm Sniper Yahigj

****

Discard 1 card with "Swarm" in its' name to activate this cards' effect. Roll 2 six-sided dice. If both rolls are equal to the level of the discarded monster, destroy all cards on your side of the field. If one roll is equal to the level of the discarded monster, you may destroy 1 face-up Spell or Trap card or one face-down monster on the field. If neither of the rolls is equal to the level of the discarded monster, select and destroy 1 card on the field. The targeted card cannot be chained to this cards' effect.

1400/1500

(Upgraded Snipe Hunter. Bigger gains, but also terrible losses to take. Also a much more stringent discard required.)

Swarm Lord Tysanoll

****

While this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select another target for Spells, Traps or Monster effects.

1400/1200

(More protection. The Swarmers need it.)

100/200

The Hive

Field Spell

When a monster with "Swarm" in its' title is tributed by the effect of a monster with "Swarm" in its' title, the controller of the tributed "Swarm" monster(s) may pay 500 Life Points to add 1 card of the same name as the tributed "Swarm" monster(s) from their deck to their hand.

Swarmer Multiplication

Trap

Tribute 1 face-up "Swarm" monster on your side of the field (the selected monsters' effect is not activated). Special Summon 2 "Swarm Multiple Token"s (Beast/Lv 2/EARTH/0/0) to your side of the field in face-up defense position.

Swarm Spawn

Both players add all monster cards from their graveyards to their respective decks. Each player then draws 1 card.

Swarm Soldier Xaosline

**

Remove this card from play from your graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Swarm Soldier Xaosline" from your deck to the field in face-up attack position. This monster cannot be used as a tribute for a Tribute Summon (or Set).

0/0

Swarm Soldier Zaxa

**

When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Special Summoned or Flip Summoned, remove from play 1 "Swarm" monster from your graveyard. This card gains the removed monsters' effect, ATK, and DEF points.

?/?

Swarm Overlord - Tazrayahisk

*********

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by offering 2 face-up "Swarm" monsters on your side of the field as a tribute. By removing from play any number of "Swarm" monsters from your graveyard when this card is summoned, this card gains ATK equal to the number of monsters removed from play by this cards' effect x 600. Pay 3000 Life Points and offer this face-up monster as a tribute to Special Summon as many "Swarm" monsters from your graveyard to the field in face-up attack position as you can.
