Ok, I am mystified these got 10s (see what I did there?). They are ok but they're not that great because of some glaring problems.

Problem 1 - There is very little in common between these cards as a set.

Problem 2 - A lot of the stats are way too high, particularly Flame Magician (4 star with over 2100 ATK and no drawback???) and Dragon Tamer.

Problem 3 - Mystic Flame Dragon is seriously OPd. Half your Life Points to remove from play every card on your opponent's field, thus allowing you to attack directly with potentially [b]9500[/b] ATK points? Really?

In fact there are a lot of cards here I would be seriously unhappy about facing because they are so OPd.

You avoided many other common noob mistakes but I still don't think these are very good.

Hm.... There are a few OCG grammar errors for example, it should be 'Once per turn, during your Standby Phase' instead of 'While this card is on the fields you must pay 500 Life Points each of your Standby Phases'

Mystic Flame Dragon's second effect is a little overpowered. It reminds me of my favourite (non-created) card, Gandora the Dragon of destruction. Its effect is that you destroy all cards on the field except itself, and it only gains 300 ATK (from nil or 0) for each monster destroyed.

Also for 'Divine Mystic Dragon' it doesn't say where to remove the card from.

All in all, a pretty good set for a 1st.
