A Way to make cards Holographic Rare using MS Paint

Anbu-of-Sand

Question

Around the beginning weeks of April of 2010, a former member named JayJack made a simple, yet very useful tutorial on how to make Gold Rares without the use of Photoshop / GIMP, but only using MS Paint. I have been using this and really happy about it.

Now, my only question now is, can someone think of a similar tutorial except for making Holographic Rares? It'd be gladly appreciated. Using MS Paint of course as well. Here is a link to the Tutorial if it can help in any way necessary. Holographic rares?

You mean like Ghost Rares? Or card holos? (The lines)

Holos can't be done on Paint, nor can Ghost Rares be done authentic-like without the use of Photoshop/GIMP.

Also, Ghost Rares would have to be done seperately each time, without a template.

The Lines. Wasn't entirely sure on what was the name.

May I ask how a card would be holo'd with the use of Photoshop / GIMP?

Yeah. Copy+Paste, then set it to Screen or Overlay. Lower the transparency if you want(Opacity).

Really? I've done it differently... Sure, there are multiple ways, but this is how I was taught:
1 - Save these two holo sheets.

2 - Start up GIMP and open up your card.
3 - Go to File -> Open as Layer or press Ctrl + Alt + O.
4 - Open up one of the holo sheets. Either works.
5 - Use the scaling tool (Shift + T) to resize the sheet to 244 x 248.
6 - Position your holo sheet over the card picture so the corners line up.
7 - Press Ctrl + L. Click the bar that says "Normal" and select "Dodge" in the drop-down menu.
8 - Go to Layer -> Merge Down and save your card.
9 - Your result should look like one of these:
