Spoon
*bump* Almost done with testing, but there's no clear winner up until now... though there are some very clear losers I can still take 1 or 2 contestants, so hurry up if you want to enter

Spoon
Alright, if there's no new entry by... tomorrow... about 4 to 6 PM (Central European Summer Time), I'll announce the winner(s) of this contest. I tested every deck at least in 3 or 4 matches, which I know is not very much, but it gives me a feel about how the deck works and if I could grow to like it or not. I'll give detailed reasons why I like and dislike certain decks, and since this opinion comes from a total newbie to the game, expect the unexpected However, if there is another entry, the end of this contest will be the 31st October around the same time (see above). Spoon
Alright, testing this last deck now, closed for more contestants... and while I said I'd wait, I guess I can also announce the results by tonight, won't be taking that long. If anybody has any objections against that, please tell me... but why would you?
Spoon
Alright then, let's get started, shall we? Red W Mage's Kuriboh Control Deck Was actually pretty enjoyable It didn't burn or mill that much, but it played quite effective (even with me as the executing player) and kept me entertained... Kuribohs are just the best, aren't they? It didn't play to passive or aggressive, Lava Golem always casts a smile on my face (and a sad face on my opponent, but I don't know why) and Trap Monsters are really interesting to play as well. The only downside: It uses Monarchs. I hate Monarchs. That's why this Deck... does not get the cake, sorry. But it get's a Rep for the effort. THe ReBeL's Fire Mill/Burn Deck When I saw the deck in it's whole... "beauty" before me, I thought it could actually be quite decent. Well, it turned out it isn't. It burns, but it's so painfully. It mills, but that most of the time helps my opponent more than it does hurt him. I never got to use 1 "Blasting the Ruins" (let alone 3 of them). I guess some ideas just... don't mix that well, or I just was unlucky/unable to play it properly... but if that's the case, the deck isn't made for me anyway No Reps here. Wiithepeople's Worm Mill Deck It mills pretty fast, it's interesting to play, it' something I've never seen before... and the worms are sooooo adorable Seriously though, the testing didn't work out too well, I couldn't even come close to a deck out or the death of my opponent, but it's still fun to play, that's why you as well get a Rep for the effort Giant Mushroom?'s Istillhavenoideawhatitis Deck I really don't know. I couldn't find anything that could lead this deck to victory... except for the obligatory (and boring) Monarchs. Why didn't you just put Treeborn in as well It's actually one of the only deck that runs "Dark Room of Nightmares", so I thought that this could be the Deck I'm looking for, but no, it... does something, but I have no idea what "something" is. Sorry if I don't get it, but in the end, I was unable to play it properly. No Reps here. bthepanda's Magical Explosion FTK/OTK Deck It's an OTK Deck. I didn't even test it, because OTKs and FTKs kill the whole fun of the game. Seriously, I hate this deck, it doesn't even get proper testing, let alone a Rep. Ser Warjacksworth' Chain Burn Deck An interesting concept you got there, I actually liked the idea when I first looked at it. But when I tested it, I found one, just one horrible flaw: I can't play it. It requires too much tactic, practice and actual knowledge of the game and it's mechanics. I'm bad at all 3 of them. It's not that the deck is bad, I actually think it's pretty enjoyable, but I'm just unable to use it properly. So yeah, you might not get the big cake, but it's worth a Rep anyway. Amaranthine Paradise's Empty Jar Deck This looked like a way better working version of ReBeL's deck... thingy. But from the looks and plays of it, it seems to be more trimmed for FTKs/OTKs... read the comment on bthepanda's deck to learn what I think about that. Though this time, I actually tested it. It never won or anything, but that could be because I'm just bad. Still, something that runs "Upstart Goblin" without "Bad Reaction to Simochi" can't be good for me, so no Reps here. Alright, now for the remaining 3. It was close, and it kind of is still. I like them all in their own regards, one concentrates on milling, one on aggressive burning, and one on the control aspect. All were fun to play, and I'll make sure to continuously play them (with some slight modifications...) so, let's get down to buisness! Sephiroth_The_Legend's Clown Control Deck I actually won with the words "I'MA FIRIN' MA LAZOOOOOR!". That's really all I need to say. It's fun, creative and has a lot of interesting tactics going on. I was always better at annoying my opponent to death rather than just killing him, that's why I think this deck suits me. It also was pretty succesful, it got me my first win against those stupid X-Gaybers and their even stupider XX-Gayber Failtrolls. It might not have been a good X-Saber player, but I don't care, with my Fortune Ladies, I didn't even come close Clowns are cool, Wave-Motion Cannon sets up for the most overused internet joke in existence (I just need to keep it 9 turns on the field so I can use another joke and then...), and overall, it's original. Thanks for that deck idea, 1 Rep is assured, maybe even one more. Welche's Abnormal Burn Deck Abnormal is the understatement of the decade! This deck burns faster than a dry haystack, soaked with benzine! And with cards like Wave-Motion Cannon and Baseball Kid, it was actually quite fun to play as well. It also runs "Dark Room of Nightmares", I just love that card for it's annoyance factor. It tested great, and I'll make sure to play it (maybe with slight changes) in the future, thanks for that 1 Rep for you, maybe more. EndsShadow's Zombie Mill Deck When I saw Iron Chain Snake, I was sold to this. It has so many different ways to kill your opponent, it's sometimes hard to choose The idea of using Soul-Absorbing Tower is great and plays quite well, Zombie World is annoyance incarnate and a Field Spell, I don't know how to play any deck properly without a Field Spell... and I like it. I liked Zombies from the very beginning, but just swarming and overwhelming my opponent with them was just not fun enough. This on the other hand gives it a twist that maybe makes them a little weaker, but way more enjoyable than those generic Zombie decks. Only 2 small downs here: Dandylion and Burden of the Mighty. I hate both cards, but they are not necessary to play the deck, so I'll just leave them out 1 Rep for you... and maybe, just maybe one more. And the winner of the first Mill/Burn Deck Contest is... Sephiroth_The_Legend! As soon as I get "I'MA FIRIN' MA LAZOOOOOOR!" and "WHAT DOES THE SCANNER SAY ABOUT IT'S POWER LEVEL?... IT'S OVA NINETHOUSAND!!!" in one game, I'll give you a hug, along with your 2 Reps for winning this contest, congratulations Thanks to everyone for participating, I hope you had at least a bit of fun (I sure had)... and if anybody wants to complain about the results or my point of view... I don't care ^^ The Reps will be distributed as soon as I can give them. So long, yours truly, Spoon Reminder: I owe Wiithepoeple and Ser Warjacksworth 1 Rep each.

Welche the crab
I actually made my deck to try and use Asmodian as much as possible. He works best with stuff like Backfire and then adding a Dark Room is just lulzy.
Zanther
Even though I wasn't in on the contest, for the Warm Worm deck I'll suggest taking out the 2 Man-Eater and stick in 2 Spear Creton's instead and drop the 3 Solom Warnings for 3 Regretful Rebirth and see if it runs better (even though the constest is over)
