BANTHA-GIO
ok, so I'm dueling my friend and he summons Exiled force. only thing is, I use trap hole right on it but he says he can still use exiled's effect(which he does). anyway long story short it got into a whole debate where he says even though I used trap hole it doesn't negate the actual summon so he can still tribute it(which I know has to be complete and total crap D<) and then he says the same thing would happen with "mirauding captain's effect as well. I just need someone to clear two things for me: 1: even if I trap hole an exiled force can he STILL activate it's effect? 2: since I trap hole a mirauding captain, doesn't that count as a nonsuccesful summon and therefore it can't activate it's effect? thanks in advanced. Sephiroth_The_Legend
Trap Hole does not negate the summon. It only simply destroys the Monster. Exiled Force can call Priority on it's effect to send itself to the Graveyard and destroy a monster. Marauding Captain is the same sort of thing. Only cards that specifically state they negate the summon can stop Exiled or Marauding. Solemn Warning is an example of this. Next time use the Q & A thread. Black W Mage
yes... if you wish to avoid this problem again, Solemn Warning or Solemn Judgment, or anything faster than exiled force.
