Coalesce has always been a favorite for me, they pump out some of the craziest rhythms I've ever heard and I still haven't gotten them all figured out (particularly on Functioning on Impatience). And the vocals have never bothered me, I always thought they were awesome.

You should check out Spitfire's other albums as well, they're pretty great. Their progression reminds me a lot of Poison the Well but Spitfire has always been way darker, especially on their third (and last) album Cult Fiction.

Coalesce are sick as hell and i love them but theyre not an all time favorite for me (The Chariot have always been my favorite Mathcore band)

i will definitely listen to more Spitfire once i get access to a computer or when mine gets fixed, i love Poison the Wells progression so i doubt that i wont love Spitfires

speaking of PtW this is still one of my favorite openings to a song ever

I love The Chariot but I think their second and third albums were a bit weak compared to the rest.

Knut is definitely one of my favorite mathcore bands. I really wish they'd come out of hiatus and put out some new material.

Also looking forward to hearing your opinions on the latter Spitfire albums, I'm jamming them now. I forgot how awesome they were.

i liked The Fiancé and Wars and Rumours of Wars quite a bit though my favorite albums by them are their last two albums, Wars used to be my favorite. to me The Chariot never had a weak point though my least favorite albums were their first two.

Knut are cool too

Septic Flesh are good death metal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BJqlcNX9dE

anyone ever heard of Torche or Devil Sold His Soul?

Understandable, I enjoy Septic Flesh but am more into raw/oldschoolish stuff. HoP is an exception, I think they are the perfect riffing machines, I enjoy each and every song in "Sedition", but I usually like rawer stuff. Septic Flesh is good but too symphonic for me.

i dont usually enjoy Symphonic Metal but i really love Septic Flesh because they use the symphonic elements in the background and it really adds tension to their more technical atmospheric death metal sound, they really use the symphonic elements to add a lot more meat to the dynamics unlike most other symphonic bands who dont take advantage of those elements being added into their music.

the only old school Death Metal bands that im into are Gorguts and the last four albums by Death, not really my style usually.

Latest Death had almost fully transitioned from death metal to prog metal, so I guess it REALLY isn't your style. Fair enough, I actually enjoy pretty much everything in the extreme metal range, with a few exceptions of overly-technical bands, most melodeath and slam zzzzz

i only like the more technical death metal bands as well as melodeath (lets agree to disagree with this one) bands and thats it when it comes down to Death Metal, cant really tolerate most old school Death Metal but i can respect those bands for shaping music at their time. Deathcore on the other hand is something i wonder how i could stand when i was 12.

Spawn of Possession, Cryptopsy and Malignancy are some of my favorite bands, and they're tech-death. I just don't like the overly technical, when the band kind of loses its focus and just makes a giant mess of structures just to show skill. But yeah, taste is taste haha. Deathcore, on the other hand, never had my attention for more than a song or two, it's just pointless IMO.

ive listened to those bands before but i never took an interest into them, i like Tech Death because im just really a Prog maniac at heart and i just find things more interesting when theres more to look at and analyze, my Tech/Prog Death list would be more like this:

Between the Buried and Me

Gorguts

Cynic

Death (last four albums)

Becoming the Archetype (first two albums)

Job for a Cowboy (their newest album)

Gojira

Hacride

Opeth

Extol

Demilich

It's a good list. I'll listen to some stuff from there I don't know (Extol/Hacride). Also, just to be clear, I adore oldschool melodeath like At the Gates, Amon Amarth, Amorphis. I just think newer bands have a tendency to overdo metalcore/djent influences.

Since you like Tech-Death, I much recommend newest Sarpanitum (https://willowtip.bandcamp.com/album/blessed-be-my-brothers)

ps: How do I link youtube videos like you do?
