Susie
I'm a casual fan of Periphery. I wouldn't really call that being a djent fan. Most of the stuff that's been posted has been post-hardcore and noise rock. I'm more of a metal guy. Also you just posted metalcore. Come on.Theres been plenty of metalcore, theres not too much noise rock on here though it has been posted before, and honestly i hope you arent taking any of that as insult because youd have to be really stupid to think that. I'm just saying genres is genres. Too much of the metal community is people taking the piss out of genres. The old school people sit their with their Burzum records declaring anything remotely -core to be "fake" or "gay" or whatever, but I'm rambling now. Whatever, more music! I know this kind of breaking the rules as it's a big stretch to call it metal, but I leik it. Vocals are a little weak though.
Mr.Robot
Shall i remind you of the fact that youre the only djent fan in this threadDon't think it's fair to generalize someone to one particular genre just because he/she enjoyed a band from a genre that might get a lot of shitty eye rollin (i.e deathcore/death metal/metalcore). And AAL ain't that bad though their 2nd album was pretty boring. That's also pretty much Darkest Hour at their peek. Tunguska and Doomsayer are probably my 2 favorites. Not for everyone but still more interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBdoB9rRFTc Taken completely out of context, those vocals with that band name is hilarious. Although I would pick either Vespertine or Homogenic over post...and anything before For Blood and Empire if I want to get into Anti Flag. And I love Jerome's Dream. Giving them more attention won't help since them defunct but they are great indeed. Probably know almost all the emo band that was/that'll be post around here though. I totally own that compilation album. It cost me $50 ._.Hahaha! Bought the compilation for only 30 bucks during a I Pilot Daemon show. There were only 4 copies being on sale that day though. Moss Icon's compilation album is what cost me though. Anyway, I know mostly all those in this thread don't care for this type of post hardcore but personally I love em and the drummer's the vocalist, live and on album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2tsuR-f-3M

Im already into anti-flag and love for blood and empire. Also i would of never thought that there were other people here who dig crystal castles. I had a feeling that id be the lone one with yellowcard. and by more attention i was referring to how we dont bring jeromes dream up much at all also even though i am a big fan of proggy post-hardcore i dont really listen to Hail the Sun a whole ton, still do enjoy them though
Mr.Robot
and by more attention i was referring to how we dont bring jeromes dream up much at allThe genre of Skramz is a sad one where not many folks know of it's existence and those that do always wanted more but tend to relish in the glory of the old days(i.e listening to mostly the old defunct bands) or prefer sticking to their gateway bands that convert them into being a fan of the genre. It is also pretty depressing that this is a genre of interbreeding where a couple of defunct/broke up bands came together and create a new band, making that mostly the new bands are members of old band and usually they don't receive as much recognition for their new band. And there are also members of old band who just put their old band into indefinite hiatus just to play the different side of the skramz spectrum (i.e bands that play mostly aggressive screamo wanted to play a more subtle emo or vise versa. Glad that this trend is over though, with many more new bands in this genre from the past few years are all new. Anyway, as for Jerome's Dream...funk yeah, they're awesome. They're among my favorite along with Orchid, Raein(still active), Loma Prieta, City Of Caterpillar, Joshua Fit For Battle, Birds in Raw and Off Minor. Anyway, if you have any money(huge money), you should get your hands on their compilation album. The first 2 tracks on the compilation album comes from their ep and they sound way different from the tracks afterward which is how they are mostly know to be. Though the compilation doesn't really flow well together so there's that. And here's something very recent and they're still active.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbj9dm05HDE
~NOiSE~
I think the compilation flows fine, the songs are in order from the newest to oldest releases so just pay attention to when one album stops and the next starts. Most screamo discography compilations are like that, I have the Ampere, Saetia and Shikari compilations as well and they are the same way.
