Worms (The Insect-Type ones)

Recommended Posts

I was looking through cards for my Deckout deck, and decided to search through all of the insect that could go in it (since it was insect based). Well, what I found was a giant pile of mostly garbage. There isn't really an archetype revolving around Insects except for the Spiders, which all pretty much are terrible and difficult to play correctly. So. that is what I decided was going to be my next revamp. Insects finally have a set theme that doesn't suck: Deckout.
Black Hole Worm
Fire/Insect/5/850/700
When this card is Normal Summoned, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards. This card’s Summon cannot be negated. Once per turn, you may remove this face-up monster from play to send the top 4 cards of your opponent’s Deck to the Graveyard. This card is then returned to the field in face-up Attack Position during your next Standby Phase.

Blazing Centipede
Fire/Insect/6/2400/1000
This card can be Special Summoned from your hand if there are 20 or more cards in your opponent’s Graveyard. Once per turn, you may remove from play an even number of Insect-Type monsters in your Graveyard to send half as many cards from the top of your opponent’s Deck to the Graveyard.

D CenpiDe
Earth/Insect/9/1000/0
This card can be Special Summoned from your hand or Graveyard by removing from play 5 Insect-Type monsters in your Graveyard. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each card in your opponent’s Graveyard. Once per turn, you may return a number of your removed from play Insect-Type monsters to your Deck. Your opponent then draw 1 card for each monster returned this way, and increase this card’s ATK by that number x100.

Split Worm
Earth/Insect/4/1000/1000
When this card is removed from the field, send the top card of both player’s Decks to the Graveyard and Special Summon 1 “Split Worm Token” (Earth/Insect/2/500/500) in Defense Position.

Book Worm
Light/Insect/3/400/1500
When this card is flipped face-up, look at the top 10 cards of your opponent’s Deck. Any Spell Cards among those cards are sent to the Graveyard. Your opponent may then select 1 card among those cards. The remaining cards are shuffled into the Deck, and the selected card is placed on top.

Parallel Worm
Earth/Insect/Tuner/1/150/100
Flip: Remove from play the top 3 cards of your opponent’s Deck face-down.

Mold Worm
Earth/Insect/100/1900
When this card is Summoned it is changed to face-up Defense Position. During each of your opponent’s Draw Phases, they must first send the top card of their Deck to the Graveyard. During each turn afterward, the number of cards sent to the Graveyard by this effect is doubled.

Needle Forest
Continuous Spell Card
Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you may instead discard a card. Each time a card is sent from a player’s Deck to the Graveyard by a card effect (except “Needle Forest”), send the top card of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard.

Feast of the Worms
Normal Spell Card
Return up to 4 Level 4 or lower Insect-Type monsters from your Graveyard to your Deck and shuffle it. Then, send and equal number of cards as monsters returned this way from the top of both player's Decks to the Graveyard.

Pot of Vermin
Normal Spell Card
Draw 1 card, then reveal an Insect-Type monster in your hand. If you cannot, send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard. Otherwise, send the top 3 cards of your opponent’s Deck to the Graveyard.

Needle Hole
Normal Trap Card
Send the top 2 cards of your opponent’s Deck to the Graveyard. Then, you may Special Summon 1 Insect-Type monster with 1000 ATK and DEF or less from your Graveyard in face-down Defense Position.
