GenzoTheHarpist
Wow havent been here in awhile, I must say I learned so much about this religion in the past year both from my own research and this debate and my decision would have to be... I feel that Satanism, LaVey Satanism, Goetic Satanism, Luciferianism, and any others are acceptable religions and are in no way bad...
They are all imperfect... there is only one true advancing force of religion and it is self-actualization. Though satanism does focus on that, all religions have something to contribute but all religions also have much negative baggage and distraction. Gospel.
Most people I've met and befriended that have claimed to be "Satanists" (guys I've met at concerts and festivals,) are full of crap. What I mean is, most generally dispise religion anyway (Athiests, Agnosticism and 'Infidels') but are open to studying religions and learning about them. I consider myself Athiestic Agnostic meaning that I don't completely believe, but I'm open to anything anyone wants to tell me. For instance; I own both The 'Satanist Bible' and an Old Testament as well as other texts from various cultures. That DOESNT mean that I am a follower of any religion or am interested in Satanism in particular. I'm embarrassed to openly admit (in public) Im 'agnostic' because people tend to point fingers and discriminate against me saying: "Satan lover," or "Burn in hell!" which of course isnt true. If I claimed to be Satanist, I'd be lying. If I claimed to be christian, I'd be lying. Point is, people should be open to accepting people with varied beliefs into society without hating or throwing a fit when one group doesnt get what they "deserve" christian, satanist or any other religion. That's what I think of Satanists, Christians and people who claim to be but in truth, are not.
Ginko
okay there has been a lot of criticism over the religion known as Satanism or Luciferinism so why do people have the outlook that the people who believe this are bad people? is this true are they really bad people or is this just propaganda what do you think?
no satanists are not bad people, and as i've actually learned reading a wierd US book, the satanistic commandments are actually rightful in their place. the worst being that if you are disrespected in your own home, destroy that person. otherwise the other commandments are (in summary form) don't hurt children, don't disrespect a man in his home, and don't disrespect a man's family i actually know a satanist and he's a pretty nice guy. he says that the sacrificing of goats and all that crap is just propaganda, and that its an organized religion. its basically like any other religion in the world, with their own slight deviations! AsterikcAde
All this bullshit about religion is nonsense, if God did existed don't you think he or she would show his or her face by now? All these crazy ass people that claim that their doctrines are a gospel of truth is nothing but mere control propaganda, I hate religion so much because it causes so much problems for intelligent individual people, it separates mankind when it comes down to the wire and yes Satanism is stupid to me as well, any talk of religion makes my blood boil to the point of no return. Can't you see that we are Gods? The embodiment and concept of God is within us, human is divine and since we created the concept of God, why should we wait to be with God? God is waiting for us. God is the very living incarnation of our beliefs and since the human mind is so powerful, our beliefs and faith can actually construct a visual representation of God. So who are the real Gods here? Us? Or the imaginary man in the sky?

Now if only we could harness that power... YAY APOTHEOSIS!
