It even says in the rulebook you can use ANYTHING as a Token, so long as you can manipulate it to show ATK/DEF position. If you were required to run official Token monster cards to use Token effects...well, then this might warrant discussion. What would happen if you had to have official Token monster cards to use them? For one, we'd know Konami is evil and soulless and wants our money/souls.
