wow, i read it all. i agree with some things, but one thing i must say is that you seem to be very cocky and sure of yourself as well. does that make you an ok player? lol. just saying from reading it all, you seem to think very highly of yourself is all.

but yeah. i agree with most of it.

There's a difference between being cocky and confident.
hmmm...maybe. but having confidence without proving it is just as bad as being cocky. so idk. idk what the guy has done in his career as a player or anything. so i guess i shouldn't judge.

i am a confident/good player. i say i am above ok and am very competent. my goals are to win and i feel knowing the game and how to play it and around it. People on here say i suck and others say i am progressing. if i just had the time to be at locals every week i would top 8 and top 4. my locals everyone always goes to regionals and the guy helping me on decks went to nats. He helped frazier and his team deck on gravekeeper's if that helps his skill range. lots of people here are foreign and i rank them high. i feel this forum has lots of known members 10-20 are only good. these include

Byakk
Professional Duelist
Placido
Sephiroth the Legend
Dae
and others. Lots of u guys hated me when i first came on because i was a fan of the EBI's(i am trying to sell them now lol)
I think i could become really good at the level i rank you guys at. If i ever reach that level i will make it a goal to duel you guys with an EBI deck lol jk but a deck that i like.

This is like a speech, but it is deserved. If you really are good at yugioh, pro, cocky, or whatever>>YOU NEED TO BACK IT UP
I feel building a deck(not net decking) shows skill and side decks really bring out how good you are because it shows how you fight the meta and anti meta. Playing a deck also shows skill. When to attack when to be safe when to push and knowing the opponents deck. You can push faster or slower and early, mid, or late game depending on deck.

[s]Basement Dweller[/s] OK. I could probably improve myself a great deal by going to locals, but that would require me to have passable cards. My plan is to save up a ton and get the staples (since I don't have many. srsly) and assemble a nice Quickdraw deck. Then I will be...KIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!

I must be a good player because I run Crystal Beasts. Also, I just noticed that I forgot the "y" in "cocky" in my first post...>_>
you know what, now I'm pissed. I have to run something other than Crystal Beasts from now on.

currently, I'm a basement/Competent player. That is until I can think of a way to make Ambulanceroid work right.

I am... OK. Not component.

I am component because I run Chimeratech Gadgets, the weirdest deck ever. FF, send everything, Overload.
RFTDD.
win game

Oh look...it's a deck that relies on getting 3 limited cards in your hand...Also, nice name change.

Because I live where I live and you can find no original Yugioh cards for sale, unless you buy them off ebay and because nobody would even think about organizing a local here, this classification won't let me go above the rank of Competent, although if I self-evaluate my performances on YVD or other forms of online gameplay, I would say I am OK on my way to good. And can't say that I'm good, as I have no interaction with real-life dueling (other than some other Trading Card Games), so I don't know how good I would perform when I would actually have to face my opponent "flesh and bones", so to speak

I like how everyone is just accepting this rating scale.

But if I were to judge myself on this scale I'm pretty sure that I would rank on the good category. I just don't participate in tourneys because of a lack of $$$$. The one regionals I went to in 2009 I went 5-3 with my WATER deck that I just found out is the precursor to Frognarchs.

Also, I find the meta to usually be quite boring, but this format it's really interesting so I might participate more. I only lose to my friend Scott who is pretty danged good. Anyone else I usually go 2-1.

I seldom buy cards, trade only. So getting a duality is going to be a b****, but I usually get pretty good pulls when I do buy so I'll try my hand at some DREV.

I usually rank people down if they don't have an original deck. If you're using QD1554.dek I pretty much think you suck. A good player should be able to think of original deck types and win with them. Like the guy who made disaster dragon or the whoever thought of Little City.

The rating scale is basically "People who are better at the game > People who are worse at the game" with some arbitrary name-dividers stuck in at random places. Besides the 90% thing, there's too little actual content to actually refute any of it; it's all tautology.
