Grunt Issun
More specificly, two of my friends! We were at lunch and discussing pokemon, so sombody asks us "What are you talking about? Pokemon agian?" (This guy was kindof a bully) and I just say "yup" so my friends get all mad at me, they say I should lie and say it was somthing else, they were pretty much saying that we couldnt talk about some of my favorite things in public because they were woried that (in whiney voice) "We'll get picked on" or "We'll never have girlfriends"
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Lying and giving into bullying just makes them stereotypical nerds. Tons of people like Pokemon, of all ages. There's no reason to be ashamed of playing an RPG which involves strategy and planning. And as far as the shows and that goes, they're popular for a reason, and it's not like they're that childish. There's much worse.
Dark
Oh, I love when people insult me about playing Pokemon, because they are probably in remedial math and can't even understand the damage caculation formula. So, do this: print out the damage formula and show it to people who make fun of you for playing Pokemon. They are so stupid that their brains will explode because they can't even understand a simple formula with more than two variables. Then you arise as the victor. :] Or just ignore them and realize that playing Pokemon is more productive than failing in school and working as McDonalds as the best job option available. Kaisu
Wait... What exactly are we meant to be discussing? [tbh I do this kind of stuff everyday. I never get picked on. Maybe because I tend to talk about this kind of stuff with a friend that can place a good roundhouse kick any day.]
Clair
True friends are the ones who will stick by you no matter what your interests are. These guys are obviously afraid of being considered "uncool" for doing something that they like. Oh well, it's high school. ><
Dаrkrai
I'll be honest, I don't have many friends. However, if a bully tried to pick on me I would have to beat them the f*** down. .-. I mean, your friends are (as you said) wimps. I discuss Pokemon with my mates all the time, I know people talk about it behind my back but I'm not ashamed of it... DARKPLANT RISING
But really, if those people automatically assume every pokemon fan is an idiot, that's not true. Also, your "friends" are paranoid. If everyone who plays pokemon is robbed of the right to have a girlfriend, most people here would be dead. You really shouldn't care about what they say. Though I personally hate pokemon.
Aibara
Well, the best thing is to be honest. And I'll talk you about a situation with a girl... And we're 15, not little kids, so you may think that pokemon were a trend back then. I was talking with my only friend that plays pokemon till now..(the other supporters have gone... lol) I play pokemon, too(always my passion!) and a girl from my class, that is not the kind of the most popular kids, but she's surely beautiful and smart(not the "barbie style"), overheard us. Then she asked us if we were talking about pokemon with a "strange" voice. Tbh, I was a little embarassed to tell her the truth at first, but I managed to tell her "yes". Now, I'll tell you only one thing. I have two friends that still play pokemon. So, you were right and you acted smarter than your friends, in my opinion, and you may find out that this "bully" plays pokemon, too ,as well as a girl that was , probably, sitting near you when you said that. Marisa Kirisame-ze
Basically, you just gotta be proud with who you are. If you let kids walk all over you or drown out your hobbies and interests, then you have to stand up for yourself. If those were my friends, I'd screw them over and find real friends. Friends that will allow you to express yourself.

Or just acted stupidly.. If you "forget" your friends for only a wrong reaction, then it's possible that you will be "forgotten", too.
I don't either. Cheapshots to keep people on their toes are the truest form of love, especially when the context makes it hilarious and the "argumentative point" is more "rather dubious" than "rather good". It basically amounted to advocating the use of "I'M BETTER AT MATH THAN YOU" as a retort when someone calls you a nerd. BAWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

If they do it once, then they're just messing with you, or might've fixed their mistake. But if they keep telling you to cover up for the things you truly love and constantly put that on you, you seriously need to get yourself out of that hole. You can't stick with them because they're not letting you express who you are - that's a natural right we all have. And once you leave them and they want to come back, you might even want to give them a chance. If they act up again, then you forget for good.
