First of all you can go herpity derp and walk over to the store and buy packs like these: 100% legal btw, as long as you have your translation for your opponent herp a derp. Oh and in case you don't pay attention, you can check the wiki to find out what valuable commons are in the set! Buying boosters gives you the achievement of spending all of your money on a box in comparison to spending less money on a single card. The next ingenius and original way to get cards is... wait for it... Trading! Going to your herp a derp store is the best place to go when wanting to trade with other players. Especially when your store is located in the ghettos. Oh guys, by the way, you can also buy cards! Who'd ever think of that? It's pretty easy too, and sites like toywiz offer the best prices around! Golden Rule 2: There is no golden rule 2 Trading Mini-Guide: How not to get ripped off When trading, believe it or not, there are some crafty people who actually try to rip you off! After you read this amazing guide however, hopefully you should not get ripped off. I value cards when trading based on rarity and splashability and effect and price, don't forget that! Rarity: What rarity is the card you are trading for? I usually like to go for the secret rares, since they're the most valuable. Super rares aren't worth as much, so watch out. Something like trading your 3 super rare Book of Moons for 1 or possibly 2 Gate Guardians is probably one of the greatest trades ever. Price: How valuable do you think the cards you are trading worth? Why am I asking you all of these questions? It's not worth trading limited edition cards like Destiny Hero - Plasma or even Stardust Dragon, because you can buy $20 tins that are worth less than the actual cards themselves. Ghost rare cards are the coolest rarity and i'm going to devote a section to them because they're the coolest rarity. Anyways, look at this completely irrelevant trade: Secret Rare Judegmetn Dragon valued around $200. 1st edition 240 because that's how much it was last year and price never changes. All three of the legendary egyptian god cards! These are worth hundreds of dollars! In case you didn't know, these cards cannot be used in a duel because it says it at the bottom left of the card in case you didn't notice! Only an idot like u would make a mistake like that, so don't do it. Effect: Does the card have good effects? Vanillas suck, and are barely wanted because they have no effect in case you didn't know. Let's not talk about that anymore and look at examples of effects. Gold Sarcophagus v.s. Thunder Dragon Gold Sarcophagus: You play it and then nothing happens. Therefore it must be a -1 and it does absolutely nothing. Thunder Dragon: It will always be a +1! +1's will always be good for the game so it's worth getting this instead of that Gold Sarcophagus. How does having more cards help you? I'll tell you later in the section that I'll never write (hint: it's a surprise!) Not all -1 cards are bad, just the ones that aren't worth playing. Awkward statement here. For example, Dian Keto gives you 1000 life points. That's definitely worth the -1! You can always just get a +1 again with Thunder Dragon! Plus the 1000 life points is technically a +1 so it's a +0! Card advantage! Also if a -1 doesn't work in the graveyard it's usually bad, unless it's Dian Keto. Splashability: This is how you describe how useful the card is in a wide variety of decks. You know staples? Well, staples are really splashable. Did you know Monster Reborn is a staple? If you have a spell or trap card that destroys a card on the field and does something irrelevant in the graveyard it's good for example dust tornado. Let's take a really OBVIOUS example: XX-Saber Darksoul is not splashable because you can only use it in X-Saber decks and it's too slow (because it works in the end phase). Dark Hole is an example of a very splashable card. Like I said earlier, I trade for cards if they're splashable, and I can always use a Dark Whore. I have a collection so yeah yugiho!
