J-Max
So i've decided to make a card for the first time in a while and decided to join in on the Exceed Summoning fun. For my first take on the new Summoning Condition, I thought I would use Triplets. I like to imagine Exceed Tributes as Duplicates of the same thing lol. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by an Exceed Summon or it's own effect. When this card is Exceed Summoned you can pay Life Points in multiples of 500 to either increase or decrease the level of 1 face-up monster you control by 1 for every 500 Life Points paid. If you Overlaid 3 monsters for this card's Exceed Summon, you can select 1 monster in your Graceyard and Overlay it under this card. Once per turn you can send 1 of this card's Overlaid monsters to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower monster from your Graveyard. That monster cannot be used in an Excess Summon. When this card is sent to the Graveyard you can Tribute monsters you control whose combined Levels are equal to or higher than the Level of this card to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. If this card is Special Summoned this way it is not treated as an Excess Monster and it's treated as an Effect Monster instead. Kale
Hey, man! You came back for this too? =] good to see ya! Try this: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. That's how I'd word it. =] I always like your lengthy monster effects. Always a mouthful. It's not even over powered either, which is the strangest part. =] Cool dude! There isn't anything that I'd change. 9/10. -Kale. .Leo
Alright, time for my first real in-depth review in quite a long time. Be prepared for a tl;dr ;D. I will go through your effect, giving my opinion on each part of the effect. I have made this before reading the effect as a whole. A comments are on first read through: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by an Exceed Summon or it's own effect. This gives some great good information off the start, that it can special summon itself. Just by looking at it I should have some sort of advantage with this :3. When this card is Exceed Summoned you can pay Life Points in multiples of 500 to either increase or decrease the level of 1 face-up monster you control by 1 for every 500 Life Points paid. This would be very usable for decks that use Synchro Summons and for decks that use Excess summons, giving them easier access to excess summon a monster. I like this part. The 500 Life Points is very manageable so it won't hurt you to much in the long run . I could see this having a good impact on many decks, namely Quickdraw Plants, Excess Decks, Formula Synchron Decks and maybe even Scrap Decks, to boost the level of Scrap Dragon, for more Level Eater abuse :3. If you Overlaid 3 monsters for this card's Exceed Summon, you can select 1 monster in your Graceyard and Overlay it under this card. This makes the card able to control the field a lot better. I like this part, as I can mantain my field advantage for a turn longer, which could mean the end of the duel in some cases. Once per turn you can send 1 of this card's Overlaid monsters to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower monster from your Graveyard. This effect can be easily abused imo. Free Darksouls, Dandylions and the likes. It isn't broken, as it takes out the durability of the card, but could be very dangerous to your opponent. Quick synchros, easy pluses can from this effect. That monster cannot be used in an Excess Summon. Nice to know, not like I would use it in an Excess Summon anyway due to the effects I have seen so far . When this card is sent to the Graveyard you can Tribute monsters you control whose combined Levels are equal to or higher than the Level of this card to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. You get your Dandylion advantage, your opponent destroys this. You bring this back. Oh the field advantage is amazing :3. I love this card <3. In other decks, this could easily fill up your graveyard for Monster Reborn or maybe even other plays. Like in Lightsworn, you can use this effect to fill the Graveyard for Judgment Dragon. If this card is Special Summoned this way it is not treated as an Excess Monster and it's treated as an Effect Monster instead. So, it gets destroyed easily, losing the durability. Seems like a one use card tbh, unless you can use Plaguspreader to get a Level 8 synchro. Overall, this card was very interesting and very well thought out. I enjoyed the effect and it can have a very positive effect on some decks, mainly Quickdraw Plants (as I pointed out Dandylion many times) and other decks mentioned above. I can't wait to see what more Excess Monsters you can come up with J-Max, great to see you making cards again!
