[justify]What have we got for you in this issue? Well, with more staff we've got a HUGE first official issue for your enjoyment, with many different sections for you to enjoy. An action packed News Bulletin, and a small, but appropriately sized "Fun" Stuff section as usual. Last issue, you saw such articles as the "Contest of the Week", and "The Hidden Sentence Game". This time around, neither will appear, and a few new sections have been added to replace them. Here are this issue's contents:[/justify]

[i][b][center]New members[/align][/b][/i][align=justify]Well, over the past few months, YCM has seen a explosion of new members. Some good, some not so good. Today, [b]207 people[/b] have joined our great site. Who knows, there may be a new God GAK within their midst. [i][b][center]Various[/center][/b][/i][align=justify]This week, a few new sets have been announced and are appearing around the forum. One of these new sets, or really "Mini-set", has been made by [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=29275]Cyber_Commander[/url]. He has started an [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showthread.php?tid=24940]"Alice in Wonderland" set[/url], which has three 3 cards in it already! I have to say, it's looking very good!

Also, a very notable ban was made this week. "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=6133]nukyasu[/url]" was banned for 2 months, but do not expect him to ever return, he made a few double accounts (he even admitted to them), and eventually got upgraded to a permanent ban. He also, reportedly, hacked another member's account, "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=17674]Villojody R.[/url]". Now, nukyasu has no change of returning. I personally think that that's a little harsh, but I don't really care, it is his own fault afterall. He should have just waited the original ban out. If it where my choice, I would not change the decision at all.[/align]

Scoop was planned to be expanded, with at least two new scoops to be performed and some new reporters employed perform them. Unfortunately, not only are there not any new reporters in this section, there aren't any new scoops. So, just like in the pilot, the [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showthread.php?tid=10767]YCM Awards[/url] and the Worst Card production will be reported on as follows...[/center]The F.G. Now all YCM Awards discussion takes place in a thread simply called "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showthread.php?tid=10767]The YCM Awards[/url]". Since this name change took place, a few more key decisions concerning the YCM Awards have been made by normal and council members alike. On the 27th of this month, [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showthread.php?tid=24218]the poll[/url] that decides who will host the upcoming February awards ceremony concluded, and with just over 55% of the vote, I ([url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=3]Frunk[/url]) have been elected host again. I have since promised not to run for host for March. The YCM Awards for February will start in a few days on the 1st of February.[/center]The YCM Awards[/align][/b][/i][align=justify]"The YCM Awards – Hall of Fame" is no more. Yesterday, however, the council was shocked and surprised when fellow council member [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=10940]Azmania2260[/url] announced he would be leaving YCM for a long period of time. His council status has been changed to "On Leave", and now the council must find a replacement. Numerous members have already posted their wish to join the council, and we'll have an update on this story, including whoever the replacement is, next week.[/justify]Apart from this, the last couple of days in the YCM Awards had been relatively inactive. [i][b][center]Worst Card[/align][/b][/i][align=justify]Due the extreme standards required to have a card accepted into Worst Card III, it has been a rather event-free week in the Worst Card story. Many, many cards have been [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showthread.php?tid=23073]suggested for Worst Card III[/url] in the preparation thread, but because of my (Frunk) personal desire to have the absolute worst of the forum on show this time around, none of the more recent suggestions have been accepted. [b][center][size=medium]The Mod’s Forum Exposé[/size][/center][size=medium][/b][align=justify]In this part of the F.G., each week, I will be giving you small pieces of information from discussion inside the invisible [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=12]Moderator’s Forum[/url]. The forum is invisible for a reason, though, so I will only ever be sharing certain information.

As in most things I have personally reported on this week, very little has happened in the [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=12]Mod's Forum[/url] recently, with only 2 news posts having been made since our last issue. Being of little "top-secret status" at all, it is my pleasure to inform you that I believe no harm will come of me sharing the exact nature of both these posts (Of course, this remains the part of the F.G. that may be edited by [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=2]YCMaker[/url] or other [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showteam.php]Super Moderators[/url] at any time as they see fit). The first post, made by myself, was a bump of a suggestion I made about a "Custom Card Discussion Forum" (the idea has been [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showthread.php?tid=22263]posted in the Questions, Comments, Suggestions forum as well[/url]), and contained some links to back up my request. This post was eventually responded to by "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=3654]bhim xD[/url]", who agreed with the idea. That, ladies and gentlemen, is literally all that took place.[/align]

This is where our reporter, Darkthorne, rants, complains, bashes, annoys, infuriates, flames and various other verbs to the effect of such towards various people, things, concepts and various other nouns to the effect of such. All in all, he's writing this "piss off" some of you, whilst trying to make the rest of you laugh. Hmm, I made the first issue, did I? Congratulations to me. For anyone about to read this, you should know that the following is going to happen;[/align]

- In fact, my overall goal is to piss off everyone who reads this, while making you laugh, and trying [i]not[/i] to get banned.

So first up on our agenda today is [b]intolerance.[/b]

Oh, that's right, intolerance, suing, and the modern world. Stand against intolerance, and have some fun without caring if you're yelled at. Hell, I wrote this column just so I could have some fun messing with people. Honestly, if you can't figure out that you're supposed to put your cards in any of the forums that include cards in the name, and you can't figure out that you put your intro in the intro forum, YOU FAIL AT LIFE. GO BACK TO PRESCHOOL, DO NOT PASS GO. AND PLEASE, FOR GOD'S SAKE, PICK UP SOME DIAPERS ALONG THE WAY, WE DON’T WANT YOU LEAKING SPAM OUT ALL OVER THE FORUMS.

Read words. It's not hard. Hispanics, we have schools and reading programs for a reason: So we don't have to have announcements in Spanish. Honestly! If you go to the DMV, you can take a test in ANY language. And that's crap. You shouldn’t be able to drive if you DO NOT SPEAK THE LANGUAGE. SERIOUSLY. Otherwise, when the cop pulls you over, you can't talk to him. It's not our fault you don’t speak English, it's yours. There are plenty of people and programs that can help you. Including schools. So get a clue!

Sorry, back to noobs. Now, the other problem we have is that most of these noobs and spammers are little kids. They're not 13, no, theyre 10 or 11. Now, I'm not saying all 10 and 11 year-olds are spammers and noobs, because Kizzi is a great example of a mature kid. Heck, I thought he was 15 until he told me otherwise. Now, these kids don't care about rules, sections, or any of that. They see the card maker, type in some unintelligible crap, and post their piece-o-**** in the wrong forum. Then they get bad ratings, go on a spam and rant spree, and end up getting banned. What is YCM coming to? Heck, I shouldn't even have to be typing this section. The noobs suck, let's face it.[/align]
They can't:

- Type properly
- Spell correctly
- Demonstrate proper grammar
- Be Intelligent
- Act Mature.

[size=medium][b][center]The Banning Obituary[/center][/b][/size][align=justify]This week has shown quite a few bans, a lot of which were posted in "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/showthread.php?tid=22527]The Ban Thread[/url]". Again though, some have slipped through the cracks. The Banning Obituary gives these accounts the "attention" they deserve, and, if possible, gives you a little bit of information about the member themself, who they were, what they did, and how long they were banned for. Also, it will let you know when various members are close to returning from temporary bans.

Last issue, I reported on Tkill93's permanent banning of an account called "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=44113]wacky cartoonist[/url]" for repeatedly cross-advertising. Just a few days later, wacky cartoonist returned with a double account, with the very inventive name of "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=44317]wacky cartoonist2[/url]". Obviously, wacky cartoonist2 was permanently banned relatively quickly for breaching his previous ban, and so far, there have been no signs of a "wacky cartoonist3"... We can only hope it stays this way. This ban was handed down by Frunk.

Also, a string of double-accounts have been banned, the ringleader of which may sound familiar, "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=43713]pwner[/url]", a real nuisance around the forum; swearing, spamming, abusing the PM, Report Abuse and Reputation systems as well as a number of double-account breaches. On the 27th, he and a number of accomplice double-accounts were removed permanently. This ban was handed down by Tkill93.

Also, just yesterday, a member called "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=23498]KingofGames03[/url]" appeared on the forum for about 10 minutes and made roughly 8 posts, all advertising the one thing, an official Yu-G-Oh booster pack, and a link to where you could pre-order it. The threads were all removed within a few minutes of my discovering them, and KingofGames03 was permanently banned. This ban was handed down by Frunk.

Other than that, no other major bans have so far gone unreported on, except for an unexplained case of a 2-year-ban, which is a very uncommon ban length. On the 27th, an account going by the name of "bcdecimator" was banned for an amazing 2 years by Tkill93. Despite bcdecimator's post records showing he had made a post breaking the cross-advertising rule. However, Tkill did not provide a reason for this ban and therefore this ban remains a mystery. If Tkill wishes to shed some light on this ban, he may reply here, but otherwise, I will not question the ban.

Finally, a few members will be returning from temporary bans within the next couple of days. The first two being "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=11146]parkourmania[/url]" and "[url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=26424]jinz[/url]", who were banned as the ringleaders of two very large, separate double-account clusters. All of the involved accounts were banned permanently, excluding these two, who were banned from a month each, and, if they care to return, will be able to return in 2 days. Another double-account ring-leader, [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=34072]"God Kaiba"[/url], was banned for 2 weeks recently, and will also be able to return in 2 days.

That, ladies and gentlemen, will be all.

[size=x-large][b][center]"Fun" Stuff[/align][/b][/size][size=medium][b][align=center]Supreme Duelist’s Card of the Week[/center]"Fun" Stuff[/align][/b][/size][size=medium][b][align=center][/b][/size]This week's card was made by [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=70]Elsandero[/url]. This card was picked by random.

[b][center]This card can only be activated when you control no monsters on your side of the field. Remove 1 ''Elemental Hero Avian'', "Elemental Hero Sparkman" and "Elemental Hero Bubbleman" from your hand from play and Special Summon 1 ''Elemental Hero Tempest'' from your Fusion Deck (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon). ''Elemental Hero Tempest'' is destroyed at the End Phase of the turn that this card was activated.[/center][/b][align=justify]The name seems good; "Rise of Tempest", better than lots of names I have seen lately. This card has some good art, which fits pretty well to the name, only without the Jaden Yuki picture, and if it had a bit more colour other than the black background. The picture fits for a Spell Card, would never fit for a Trap or monster.

This card's effect is like "Polymerization", but Polymerization would be used more than this card if it was ever released. This card should not be thrown in any Deck, or any E.Hero Deck. This card is strictly used for getting out Tempest. Now, you need to have NO monsters on the field, which is condition one which gives it a -1 advantage, you have to have 3 monster in your hand, -2 advantage, you can get Tempest out on the field, -1 advantage, it is destroyed at the End Phase, -2 advatage, is a Spell Card, -1 advantage, you lose 3 monsters, -2 advatage in total.

Now if this card gives you a -2 advantage, then why use it? I think it is pretty random, but this card can be used in some Decks, in most it would harm without a lot of gain. Now Elsandero I don't think this is one of you best work, maybe removing the last part, or the first part of the effect may be better, right?

Now when you look at this card normally, it seems like a GREAT card, but when you look closely, it seems only good. Hope to see better work from you Elsandero, though I think this card was pretty random, right?

HORUS (or should I say, Kramer?) was the first ever Legendary Member on this site (Not including [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=3]Frunk[/url]... because he’s a Mod). He joined the site on the 19th of Feb last year, even since then... he has made an exceptional difference to the forum... and he has even been banned on a few occasions in his time. He now usually posts within the [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=6]Deck[/url] and [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=7]TCG[/url] sections, and we are all grateful to be interviewing one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists on the site.

"Well, Stratos and Wildheart, they’re cool. I don't have a problem with them.

its the Normal or Fusion EHeroes that I get mad at. They have so much support, but they still aren't good. You need to have every card for them if you want to make a halfway decent deck. If you used every E Hero and spell/trap related to them, with several copies of the necessary ones, you would have a deck well over 100 cards.

Bottom line is: They Suck."

[align=justify]Everybody's favourite YCM trivia game has returned! Pursuit Trivia is named after a game created by an Australian satirical team, "The Chaser", it is also directly inspired by it.

Once again, I will explain how it works. There is a board game called "[url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trivial_Pursuit]Trivial Pursuit[/url]" that you may of heard of, where players must answer trivia to compete from different coloured pieces of plastic "pie".

In this game, each week, I will be asking you a question from my very own version of Trivial Pursuit, and, since I cannot digitally give you a piece of pie, plastic or not, I will give the winner +1 rep, instead.

It's quite simply really, and you can Google the answer for all I care, just as long as you do not post it in a reply. You must send it in a PM addressed to be entitled "A letter to the editor" or "Pursuit Trivia answer", or similar.

The first person to do this, and have the correct answer, will get +1 rep. It's that simple! So, on with the game! Here is your question:

Darkthorne, I especially liked the Bit about language, especially because I disagree. Its OUR fault for not educating them, not theirs for not being educated. But the rest I agreed on.

 

When you hit up race and religion, make sure that you back up what you say with at least sensible logic. Disprove, not disown. And for race, well, it makes no difference, except in body odor. xD
