My Idea For A TCG

Having played a few card games over the years (YGO, Magic, Pokemon and UFS), I came up with an idea for my own. It's still very empty and pretty foggy, as it was just an overnight "sitting in bed" kind of thing. It's mostly inspired by UFS.

Anyway, both players start with a deck of your usual 40 - 60 cards. Given. Each player also has 3 Character Cards on the left side of the mat area. At the start of the game, 1 of the cards are placed in the middle of the mat to represent your chosen fighter. When one fighter is destroyed, another is tagged in. There are also cards that will allow you to tag in and out at your own will due to effects.

Below each player's Character is a row of 5 cards (kind of like the Yugioh ones). The first is your Offensive Combo and the second is your Defensive Combo (duh). During each of your turns, you may play 1 card into each combo, unless stated otherwise (some Characters let you put 2 in one, etc.). Cards placed here are face-down.

When your hand is empty, you activate your Offensive Combo (if its your turn. If not, too bad.) You do this by first revealing the first card in your combo. Perform the action it says (deal x damage, draw 1 card, tag a character out, etc.)

Well, your opponent doesn't just sit this one out. When you reveal a card in your Offensive Combo, your opponent reveals one in his/her Defensive Combo in response. Cards here will do things like block x amount of damage, halt your opponent's Offensive Combo, etc.

So, this is basically all I got. I know its kind of lame but it was just a passing thought. I think it could turn out pretty coolw ith enough time, effort and work. I'll probably end up doing something with this, maybe just as a little game my friends and I can play. Tell me what you think I guess and TCG ideas you have yourself.
