byak
You can chain monster/spell/trap effects that are spell speed 2 or higher (so everything except normal spells and ignition effects) to the activation of Scrap Iron Scarecrow, what happens then depends on the card. You can chain Mystical Space Typhoon to the activation of Scrap Iron Scarecrow, but because Scrap Iron has already activated and it's activation was not negated, it will resolve. byak
And I still don't know whether it's MST or a monster/spell/trap effect.
evilfusion
You can do it, but the attack will still be negated. However, it won't re-set itself, so I suppose you accomplished something.
