DARKPLANT RISING
The most epic duel ever I encountered was a clash between two divinities.
The Red Nova Dragon shot towards me on demonic wings. It swept with a muscular hand; my face-down Glow-Up Bulb was incinerated without a trace. “It’s your lose Kenta!” my friend, Masuda, cackled in the antagonist fashion, striking a finger at my nearly empty field. “All you have is 2000 Life Points and a single Royal Decree. While I own the invincible Burning Soul!” The scarlet dragon towering behind him roared, shaking the earth. The duel was about to close. I had done a magnificent Lonefire Loop once with this Dark Gigavise deck in the first turns, but even the Scrap D, Stardust, Gigaplant, and Power Tool I summoned were easily killed by a Colossal. “Flamvells,” I muttered. “There’s a reason why they’re so pro.” “Don’t surrender,” Masuda said. “I’ll rather take pleasure in crushing you to bits. Now draw your last pathetic card, Kenta, so I can finish you.” “My deck has no pathetic cards, Masuda,” I raised my head. “Except maybe Mystic Tomato. My turn! Draw!” I glanced at the card in my hand. Book of Moon. “Dang,” I sighed. I could stop his moves for a turn. But nothing more than a turn. What can it do? But I also had a Mystic Tomato in my hand. I can use it, along with Glow-Up, for protection. “I activate Glow-Up,” I declared. “I mill the top card–” the top card of my deck flipped and was transported into the Graveyard, which was – Dandylion. Oh talk about the heart of the cards. “WHAT!?” Masuda yelped as two Fluff Tokens of death and doom erupted around me, menacing eyes glowing, along with the Glow-Up. “But that means you get to–” “I tune two of them for Formula Synchron!” I announced, and the Glow-Up became a meaninglessly glowing hula-hoop of green, which converted the Fluff Token into a shining Transformer. “I draw a card!”I shut my eyes. “Come, something good! Come!” I drew. Opened my eyes. Widened in shock. “Reborn the monster!!” I shot the card into the air, and the silhouette of the ever so badass card appeared above. The aforementioned Stardust Dragon spiraled out, but it was folding everything on its body so it seemed rather feeble on its own. Two reasons – one, it was meaningless to show off, two, it was in Defense. “But while you’ve disabled me from attacking you’re still exposed!” Masuda jabbed a finger. “If I summon a monster with more than 2000–” “Book of Moon,” I smiled. Masuda cocked his head. “Sorry, I can’t hear you.” “Book of Moon.” Masuda yelped. The Red Nova Dragon was rendered defenseless. “Oh no effing way,” he mumbled. “No effing way.” “And while Stardust on its own can’t beat Red Nova, I do have a way to do the job. The most epic way possible! Accel Synchro!” I roared. “CLEAR MIND!!” Shooting Star Dragon, the internet embodiment of utter epicness, zoomed out of the sky with all of its divine force. Masuda backed away. “Oh god,” he whispered. “Oh my god. I have only 3000 Life Points. If he gets two tuners out–” I showed him the top five cards of my deck. Mark of the Rose Cherry Inmato Dark Hole Giant Trunade Spore “Wha–” Masuda’s face was a mask of utter shock. Eyes wide, spiraling through the air, mouth dropped open. “But…but…” “It’s my victory!” I shot a fist. “And here the attack name is…” I snapped open my iPod to start the epic music. “So-note nobashite! Mabayui ashita wo tsukamotoreeeee!!! Mugennno sora! Habatakee!!!” And I and the iPod screamed at the same time. “BELIEVE IN NEXUUUUUUUUUUUS!!!!!!” The Shooting Star Dragon split in two, twirling through the air; one exploded into the face-down Red Nova Dragon, which, with a roar of defeat, was violently blasted apart. The gust knocked the air out of Masuda’s lungs; coughing, wiping his mouth, he looked up blankly. And right above him was the Shooting Star Dragon, already about to wipe his life points out. “Impossible…” his mouth opened. The next second, full Masaki-Endo style fury rained down upon him in a shower of destruction and music. (Masuda: LP 0) He fell to the ground in a heap. “Why did I lose?” he stared vacantly at his hands. “I summoned the almighty Red Nova. I thought that will make me epic enough!” “Red Nova Dragon is epic,” I grinned. “But something is far superior. Something is much, much divine, and its power exceeds all other things in this entire universe.” “What’s that?” Masuda looked up. “The heart of the cards?” “Hell no,” I chuckled. “Nexus. Believe in it.”
And though it’ll be pro to discuss on SSD, I recently made the topic. So I’ll be even more pro by discussing upon the ultimate Quick-Play, Book of Moon. You don't need me to post the pic.
Thanks for the material! All I had until now was ripping up Blackwing - Boobytrap at the top so the name was just Booby. And Scrap Lube has a really funny name. OT: Incredible card. May go to 1 some time soon, it's just so versatile and stops so many plays.

If Overlay Units protect the Excess monster and BoM removes the Overlay Units, then BoM would be hit. However, I've heard that the protection part was a hoax, making Overlay Units only useful for the Excess monster's effect. In such case, I don't care if BoM removes the Overlay Units or not.
Yes, those certainly are good reasons. It is the most versatile card in the game that can turn the tide when used at the right time. The list of things it can do is exhaustive. Quick play spells are basically the best form of S/T card because of the fact you can play them straight-up in either turn. Also, I usually don't like bringing the whole money-making factor into it, but lets face it, its virtually without financial cost and that might play a part in Konami's decision as well. I personally think that it will be at 2 on the next list.
