Earthbound Immortal Perqa [Single]

Tokyo Duel

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd try something different. On a personal note, I find it rather broken, so ... please tell me if it is and I'll try to fix it. Oh, and Perqa is translated into "wall" in Quechua. I was hoping to use Barrier, but...meh.

There can only be 1 face-up "Earthbound Immortal" monster on the field. If there is no face-up Field Spell Card on the Field, destroy this card. Your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. This card can attack your opponent directly. This card can attack while its in Defense Position. Apply the DEF of this card for damage calculation. While this card is in face-up Defense Position, when your opponent Special Summons a monster, you can negate that summon and inflict damage equal to your opponent equal to half it's original ATK. This effect can only be used once per turn, and during your opponent's turn.

The Earthbounds are based upon the Nazcala Lines... they were all used... no lines left for this one... i guess u could call it all of the random shapes that are made as it is rock type and consists of long strips, but that is a far stretch
I do not think it is broken or OP at all... its good, i just have a probelm with the where would it come from, lol

cool card but WHERE DID YOU GET THAT IMAGE!?

I guess the title wasn't clear enough?

The effect is pretty UP in comparison to other EBI's (with 0 ATK). I suggest you make its ATK reasonable (2k-3k is the basic range). I like it's effect though. Makes opponent think twice before Special Summoning. 8/10.

Well, this is the part where I say "Screw the Rules!"
Story for it: The shadows made it. <---- Obv I'm blaming the forces of darkness.

I figured it should have 0 ATK. I mean, it doesn't look like it could do much. Besides, there's equip spells for that and what-not.

EDIT:
I have an idea. What if I use it's DEF as a means of attacking directly? It can attack directly in defense mode, and it's DEF is applied instead of it's attack.

Update:
I added that. But I'm betting a shiny penny that I screwed up in OCG after adding his new effect.

The new edit (of your list of edits up there) seems reasonable. Although that shiny penny looks golden, cause your OCG is pretty off. Try this: This card can attack while its in Defense Position. Apply the DEF of this card for damage calculation.
I still don't see why you just don't raise its ATK.

Anyway, bumping my grading to 9/10.

Btw, the name of card doesn't match the title. Pequ vs Perqa.

If you took peacock feathers and a stick... and made the peacock feathers all come off of the same part of the stick... then you'd have that creature... just felt like pointing it out

I don't see it. Looks more like a futuristic form of a Christian Cross.. or a hairpin.

I don't raise it's ATK for two reasons.
One) It gives off the vibe that it'd have no attack, and DEF would be it's strong suit.
Two) Mirror Force would be pointless against it. =/

I suppose those are pluses. Although you understand that it can attack AND use its effect, making it kind of OP (OP in terms of EBI). Yep, That's one OP hairpin.

The card for an Earthbound Immortal, is quite 'simple', but quite original as well. Like you said though, it may be overpowering, seeing it can be used as a beatstick, wall, Special Summon hating card, all at once, and possibly at the same time. The burn may be overdoing it. But then again, it is and Earthbound Immortal. Perhaps scratch out the burn and instead of destruction it removes it from play? That still might make it 'overpowered' though. Maybe it gets returned to the Deck? That'd be a bit more reasonable. Otherwise, it seems like a fine Earthbound Immortal to me.

@Glоrious tjhis is susposed to be the exact opisite of the other earthbound (all the earthbound have a strong attack for offense) this was intended to be a more deffense but can still be offense at the same time sort of earthbound

Really?
I hadn't noticed. Although I wouldn't call it "exact opposite". I see your point though. Lol, now that I think about it, that's pretty cool
