The goal is to find a way to have a card on the field during the 3rd turn which will make you gain the 8000 life points instead of losing them while giving your opponent the same number of turns to plan as well. It's risky but when your talking about that much life points it has to be. The reason the tributing effect is there is to stop it from being too abusable and you can tribute an opponents monster not just your own. Cards like marshmallon, Gellenduo and Arcana Force 0 the fool are popular in burn decks because they can't be destroyed by battle and all have less than 500 DEF. There are also plenty of LIGHT monsters with less than 500 DEF. I can think of at least 3 of the lightsworns. Also its LIGHT because thats generally the attribute you associate with gaining life points.
.Nu-13
Terrible. LP doesn't matter that much
Skythief
It is true that life points don't matter that much, but when you're talking about 3000+ amounts, we're getting somewhere. Now that's said, I honestly don't see any use for this card at all. If you're in need of those 4000 Life Points, you'll lose once the effect passes out, and when you're not, you wasted 4000 Life Points and a -2 for something you didn't need. When you need to be saved by this, you won't be able to decide the match before it kills you, and if it doesn't kill you, you don't need it either. War Chess
As .Kowalski said, Life Points is not everything. Also, come OCG mistakes and lack of usability. Who would take the shot to lose 8000 Life Points ? 3/10 NOTE : Please post the lore so OCG fixes can be made. And you don't need polls.
:bcoe
I agree, life points aren't that important but what if you used it with a card like prime material dragon? You would gain a total of 12000 life points if played right. Also it says tribute 1 card [on the field] not just one you control so you could tribute your opponents monster (lightsworn, marshmallon etc.)
mysteryman429
the one would be a little more safe..but then again could still hurt you given situation 1 good thing bout yours is that it doesnt happen till a few turns have passed...but if u do play it u will have to win fast...well unless u have a boatload of lifepoints to use
Skythief
Maybe I found a use after all. Psychic decks may as well make a win out of 4000 Life Points. But like the only monsters you can tribute are Mind Master which is worth far more than being tributed, and hanewata that is sometimes used in psychic decks. :bcoe
Ya psychic decks were one of the things I was thinking about, but most of them are EARTH attribute so it would be hard to fit in a LIGHT monster. The main reason for this card is as an anti-burn card. The goal is to find a way to have a card on the field during the 3rd turn which will make you gain the 8000 life points instead of losing them while giving your opponent the same number of turns to plan as well. The reason the tributing effect is there is to stop it from being too abusable and like I said you can tribute an opponents monster not just your own. :bcoe
Forgot about Rainbow life. Ya that card and cards like Prime Material Dragon would make this card very useful. :bcoe
A card very useful for having high life points and could easily balance out the possible minuses in cards needed to pull off the effect.
