The 'Good-Old Days'

Now is arguably the "Golden Age" - we have the best active mod team YCM has ever had (though that's not saying much) and this site is less like a country occupied by Nazi Germany circa 1941. It's the best we've ever had it, despite the larger number of pretentious idiots.

Yes, Luna. And i've been a Six Star since 2008, but that was my old account(It was screwed up, for some reason.) And I joined within a week of you(Thank TDI Owen), so I should know everything about this place that you know.

Pretty much. At the very least, the deck section is in it's "Golden Age" now that it has an active mod who's part of the section's group of regulars instead of Chaos Pudding popping in twice a week to lock the occasional noob deck that has been spammed 17 pages with +1 PCs.

The 'good old days' was when we, the oldies of '07-'08 or '09 if you really count that, were in power and got all the fame.

It took me a while to realize how selfish I was, and I do not care anymore about my status.

The term 'good old days' could be the view of anyone. One day you '10-'11 guys in 2013 will say the same and realize what we mean by that term. So Luna, shut up.

Anyone remember the good old days? Back when I was active? When CC was decent? When 1-on-1s were fun? When being 6 star meant respect? When YCM was decent? When Draco was here?

It is quite often that the Good Old Days are remembered more fondly than they quite actually were... but looking through what's left of them I can't help but agree with you.

It's interesting to peek into the history of some sites and see how far they've come.

On the other hand, with new times come new experiences and to fail to appreciate them is to fail to appreciate life itself.

The moral of the story here is that while you might not be able to change the past you can certainly impact the present and do your part to work towards the change you so strongly want to happen.

Well I remember when people actually enjoyed the small things on the site, I was really excited when I discovered the cardmaker and still keep in mind that it's a chance to have it. I also remember the lovely reps I got, when I first joined I got repped for being a nice new member or people just thanking me for making a member card. THIS sounds like a golden age to me.

Now to get repped or be popular, you just need to be a flame troll and put down everyone else with the "u stupid, now I'm showing you how things really are, in an as nasty-sarcastic reply as possible~). I think this is the "small" thing that changed.=/ Also members trying to imitate other members.
