Boss Z
Why would I not think of The Junkster for this deck, lol (not my deck, but i want a Tech Genus deck) And they should so not be called T.G. thats just ****ed Up Not sure how well thi'll work, but it doesn't look bad... except for the whole Junk Synchron thing... Just wondering, what is the easiest way to get out dragonfly?

evilfusion
Okay, I have to ask. Why Reaper as opposed to...any other level 3 monster? Even for stalling, Marshmallon's slightly better. Is it the discard, your IRL availability, or just an obsession to test out the banlist change?
Zkaiser
Have you tested this? How do the fish work out? All those Level 1s and no One for One WTF Ultimate Offering, how does that test? Junk Syncron needs Doppleman to reach MAXX potential
Brinolovania
@evilfusion:Reaper is better because of his discard ability. @Kaiser:Wat to neg? for 141 and Doppel? Ultimate offering can make lulzy plays...but yeah, I'll neg it for 141. I haven't even drawn Fishy...but it seems like the best way to grab Dragonfly. Also, I'd like space for 1 more copy of Werewolf and Striker.
evilfusion
Have you considered Glow Up Bulb as another level 1 Tuner? And if you want another Striker/Werewolf, my first suggestion is to neg the Reapers, since they really dont help (much). The deck doesn't need them. Brinolovania
@fusion:I can't use Glow-Up, as I want this to be IRL after EXVC, and I can't afford one. Zkaiser
It's better as a stalling card in the sense that it can't be E-Conned to death.
evilfusion
Tsk, of course. I say one inaccurate, but technically true, statement and you have the right to label me as "bad". Take the time to know me before jumping to that conclusion. In any case, Dandylion was an alternate suggestion, due to also being a level 3 monster, but with Token producing capabilities. Doppel Warrior seems to satisfy that, so it may be unnecessary. Doppel helps more with Junk Synchron.

[/quote] Spirit Reaper is better for the following reasons: discarding effect = card advantage, even if it doesn't get used too often. 1000 damage isn't much and doesn't really matter. The stats of each monster don't exactly matter either. A good number of cards that target do one of the following things: • get rid of the monster (Spirit Reaper's effect doesn't activate if it's facedown or left the field, so it will act the same way as Marshmallon) • take control of the monster (Spirit Reaper blows itself up, wiping out the opponent's ability to use it) • change its battle position (Spirit Reaper wipes itself out, meaning your opponent can't abuse the 300 ATK indestructible by battle) There are few situations where Marshmallon is better. These include: • when Marshmallon is the only monster on your field and your opponent changes its position (saving you only 300 points of damage per monster) • when 1000 LP damage would actually win the game (not likely) • when your opponent takes control of it but can't use it, granting it back to you next turn (unlikely) • you can Book of Moon it to inflict another 1000 damage and/or save yourself from receiving damage (probably the most likely situation, but that would waste soon-to-be only Book of Moon on something stupid) Overall, Spirit Reaper is better because it tends to give you more card advantage. Either way, the cards were taken out of the deck, so it doesn't matter anymore.
evilfusion
Yes, I know all of that. I acknowledged my statement of Marshmallon slightly > Reaper is false, except from a purely stall point of view (an admittedly poor way of looking at it). But the error doesn't automatically make me "bad", it just makes me "wrong". How's the deck playing now, Kikoutei? I played against the original build, so are there any improvements you've noticed yet? I find playtesting to be necessary between changes.
